Would you rather have a vacation home in a particular place in the world or be able to go on a trip to somewhere different every year. For example you might buy a villa in Spain, a log cabin in Austria or a beach house in Barbados. If you didn't have that you would be able to have a trip every year to a different location. For example this year you might go to the Philippines for some island hopping adventures. Next year you might go on a cultural exploration of China. The year after you might go on a safari in Tanzania.

I would rather take a vacation to a different destination each year. I would have to say that all the places I would choose to go would be right here at 'home' in the United States. Even though I have traveled across the country, there is still so much more that I haven't seen. I will be making two trips this year, one to Idaho and Montana, mainly to visit wildland fire memorial sites and base camps. The other trip will be later this year, back to Virginia, my oldest daughter will be having her baby then. Even though I like traveling, it's nice to come back home at the end of a long trip. Keeping up two homes would be too much work for me lol. [palonghorn]
It is interesting to know that you still have much to see in America. I have been to California twice and to Hawaii once. I know there is lots more to see. I wish I could go to Seattle this summer but I don't think I can get into the States because my passport is not machine readable. Hi, Maximax8. I would like to prefer a trip every year to different places. A vacation home in a certain place is wonderful and more comfortable, but I tender to like wandering around different sites to gather knowledge about different countries and to learn different cultures varies from our Chinese culture. Actually, travelling around is my dream for years but I'm so sorry that I haven't experience even one real trip. When I was in my college, I had leisure time to hang out but no money; while when I have money from my work but definitely no time. What a pity! I'm longing for a real vacation in near future. As far as I am concerned, I think if I have a long vacation, I will choose to travell all over the world,if the money permision. Having a long vacation would be great for you because then you would be able to visit a number of different countries. You are sensible for thinking it might be possible for you to visit mountains and beaches in countries near to your homeland. Have a wonderful day. [maximax8]
I would like to have a trip every year because its my dream to explore the world. A vacation home would be a nice idea but you'll get to see it often. It's much better to explore and know the culture of different countries you visited. I would be a blast!. [drshav]
I would prefer to choose i trip on different places every year. Because at least every year you can have an experienced to go on the different places around the world. I would like to go to the Philippines on my first trip because the nature their is so beautiful. There are so many trees, natural mountains, volcano, islands and many more. I would prefer to visit a new place every year. I know that some people like to go back to the same place every year, but I have never done that. I think there are so many different places around the world to explore, and I find it a lot more interesting to visit many different places. I love travelling, and it is one of my goals to visit as many countries as possible. Early in my career my wife and I bought a time share as a vacation home. It gave us a nice apartment to exchange for a different location. Over the years we have visited Orlando, FL, New England (several times) Hawaii (Twice), Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Texas, North Carolina, Wis Dells, WI, Colorado, and Williamsburg VA. I would not want to be tied down to one place every year. I like to visit different places and enjoy the local culture. [bobmnu]
I would choose a different location every year (just like I do now). It's more fun going to new places and experiencing the differences. I had a goal of seeing every State in the U.S. and I've done that except Alaska. My Mom and I are hoping to go to Alaska next year. There are a few places in the world I'd love to visit. I think it would be fascinating to visit Greece for instance. TO see the places where different myths were born, eat the food, learn about it's culture. But that takes more money than most have, so we stick to local sites. [ersmommy1]

I farm in Canada in the summer, and vacation at my winter home in McAllen Texas,USA (which is just 20 minutes from Mexico.) I've been on Cruises and trips to Europe, South America, and Asia, but a 5 month vacation in Alamo Palms RV and Mobile Park, is hard to beat. This park is a Gated Community of around 1000 seniors, who live in Mobile Homes, and Trailers and all get along Famously. Every amenity we might need is right here and we get to play all day at no extra charge. I've done it both ways and I much prefer the RV Park! [barehugs]

I would rather visit different destinations every year as I really enjoy exploring new destinations more than sitting around doing nothing in a familiar spot. Relaxing is good while on holiday, but I definitely like to soak up the atmosphere of somewhere new, rather than somewhere familiar. I do not think I would ever buy a holiday home for this reason. For the last two Christmas holidays we have taken trips to visit our families in Melbourne and last time was no where near as good as the year before, but when we took some little side trips to places we had never been before, it was awesome. This year we will go somewhere different if we do go anywhere. We may go North up the Queensland coast to Cairns or something, or we may go south to Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains as we had a brief stopover there last time and want to return for longer to see everything. niceday [RawBill1]
If money is not a problem then i would choose to go to a trip in different places. Its always been my dream to visit and see those places i always dream of. I like to see different culture and how beautiful those places are. Its been my dream to go to Europe actually and see it to myself if its really a beautiful place. I'd rather stay at home. The money that I'd spend on the trip could be used to fund a small business at home or something along those lines. I can go off and see other places when I'm rich. While I'm still not, then I'll just have to think of a good way to start a business. [ladyhaly]

I would probably prefer a trip to somewhere different every year. The reason why is because I would prefer to go somewhere different every year and not the same old place all the time. I would like to go to Alaska because I never have been there and I think it might be kind of interesting. I also have a cousin who lives there and I would like to visit her. I can't think of very many places I haven't been, lollol. I would also like to go to Australia. That's another place I never have been. I hear some of it is like the american west, which is one of my favorite parts of the united states. Also, I would like to see the kangaroos and koala bears. I prefer out of the Philippines because I'm living in the Philippines so theirs different culture if you go abroad. I want to travel to Europe and America. I would rather go to someplace new every year. We had a few opportunites to buy a time share, but I was never interested in going to the same place every year. I know you can exchange them and go to different places, but I just didn't want to. I prefer going to someplace new every year. If you like it you can go back. i initially thought that i would like to have my own vacation house... but i realized that maintaining a vacation house is as expensive as going to a different place every time you have an opportunity. well now i am decided that i will just prefer to go out to different places than be staying in the same place over again for different occasions. oh well. that is just me. others may have their own preference. :) [chiyosan]
Even though I am a home person and I want to do things here in my home like surf in the net or just sleeping, still, I would then prioritize tripping. It's just that I really want traveling and if I have the time and the money...well, I would do that and I would not think so much about it.
