All of us dream in a nice vacation, and i think the best way to make something for your soul is to travel. I was traveling until, now, not to much but i was visiting many countryes from Europe, and few from Asia. If i want to visit something and stay there in my vacation, is Egypt or Tibet. Most of my recent vacations have been to places here in Texas. We usually enjoy vacations that include some fishing time but over the years the destinations have been rather varied. Our last vacation was spent at Port Aransas where we did a lot of site seeing but just a little fishing, due to the weather. The wind was quite fierce for fishing in a small boat, so we decided to go to a bigger boat instead, lol. This one is big enough, don't you think? As far as where I'd like to go in future.... It's just a dream for now, but I would really love to go to England, Australia & Greece for some site seeing to start with. Followed with shopping in Italy. Boy, would I love to have a pair of soft Italian leather boots made just for me. :D [paidreader]
My family and my co-employees just recently went on an excursion at Iba, Zambales. A five hour and a half ride from our place. The place is really beautiful, actually its my 2nd time there. By the way I was also one of the Game Masters that organized the Team Building Activities for our company, and I am happy that it is very successful even though a lot of the participants complaints of having a hard time with some of our games. My husband and I went to Las Vegas last summer and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn't do any gambling or drinking but we still had a great time. I will try to scan some pictures we took and then upload them. Rarotonga and Atiu (two islands in the Pacific). Even though it was for my Grandmothers unveiling, I still had a nice time there - the beaches are absolutely beautiful, the people are friendly and it was fun riding a scooter all around the island! Best time of my life! [maddysmommy]

Oh, that's an easy one! Alaska! Last summer we took a cruise up the inside passage of Alaska and then rented a car to tour much of the rest of the state on our own. It was incredible I would recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity to go. Go before the glaciers are gone and the tundra is melted. Go before the ocean level rises to wipe away the native coastal villages. Go before what is left of the sea life is diminished. We want to go back some day to tour the northern part of the state, which we didn't have time for last year. Hope we get to go before it is all changed. [youdontsay]

Well, i do have a few vacation destinations. My first one is Germany, i would very much like to spend a week at Berlin. i heard that it is wonderful there. They have a lot of culture there, and i am planing to go to as many shows, concerts and theater plays as i can. second destination is the USA- i really miss being in new york. I want to see how it is there now, the last time i have been there i was 12 years old, and i guess being an adult there, is really different. Lol. I also would like to go to Broadway shows there. and do a lot of things that new york has to offer me. the third destination is of course Australia, i have been there once, but i really would like to return to this place. I enjoyed myself very much last time i was there, but this time i want to be there for a few months. So maybe when i will finish my computers course, i will look for a job, that will relocate me for a few months to Australia. [liranlgo]

I did it again Dam it i check my email and take them in order yours was number 1 and i clicked "respond to this discussion" I did that and posted quite a long reply ..submitted it Blank Page my fault i was not logged in I have warned members about this and i got caught myself again.Its ironic we have a group of about 50 seniors that got to Myrtle Beach every April for a 10 day Golf Package.This has been the case for several years now .From Toronto Ontario Canada to the golf courses of Myrtle Beach.I have been to several cities in the USA,France,Portugal,Germany,Amsterdam,Africa ,Far East,Japan, etc etc I have never been to Alaska ..the 50th state of the USA..We would love to take a plane from Toronto to British Columbia ....a boat from there up the Pacific Ocean coastline to Alaska ...Some day we may go right now its a dream .......Good Luck Have a Great day If you are ever in Myrtle Beach in April I may need a caddie ...look me up (he he ) [vmks31]

I have not been on vacation recently, but I would love to go to back to Queensland and take my husband there for a vacation as my husband has never been out of the state of New South Wales, in Australia at this time and my sister lives there along with two of our sons. For the last few years, I have been having my vacation in the UK. I love taking the car ferry to Holyhead and driving through the Welsh mountains. The scenery is magnificent and I never tire of it. I was thinking of going to another country this year but I have just bought a new house so my vacation time will be spent getting settled into my new home. I like your family photo. I haven't had a real vacation in quite a long time and I think I"m really ready for one :) I do camp each summer and that helps a bit, but I miss going somewhere away from here and just relax not having to do any special chores. Myrtle beach sounds good to me LOL A favorite vacation for me would be at least one week in an hotel - doesn't need to be luxury or anything to special - close to the beach and where I could just relax, swimm, have fun with my family. I would have to say down in the woods of Kentucky. Lake Barkely or Cumberland Falls. Both beautiful areas loaded with wild life. When we last visited down there. The following morning when we got up there were wild turkey and deer in the front yard. It was a site to behold. Since we are avid animals lovers, it was well worth it. [dragonryder]
Lake Huron beaches in northern Michigan, its not quite the ocean, but it still works for me. The Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Colorado, Wyoming, Maine, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Tennessee, The Virginias, Arizona, Utah, Vermont, New York, New Hampshire, Rhode Island...love them all and others too. We went on the trip of a life time and that was to hawaii,we spent 14 wonderful days there, it has been a couple of years but it was such an awesome trip..I really do not want to go back,i loved it but once you go and you have movies and pictures and everything,if you go back nothing is ever the same the second time around.I have been on vacations such as to the Grand ole opry,and to dollywood,and to Memphis to see Elvis's home.and it is always so awesome the first time.I have tried things the second time and its not like the same and I just want to remember it the first time...I can just sit and dream,and relive those memories....I would like to go to Myrtle beach though,i have not been there yet.I would also really like to go to Branson,I think that would be fun...my friend is going back to Maine in November and i think that would be nice....I am glad you and your family went and had such a good time,those are the memories that means so much. Scotland...for the men in kilts! Hahaha. But really I love Scotland and everything about it. The history, culture, people, gorgeous scenery. Everyone is so friendly and from what they say and do it's obvious they love their country too and want to share it with you. Ancient ruins are crammed cheek by jowl with brand new, state of the art facilities but it just seems to work. Scots don't tear down and build new, they incorporate the past into their present and future. The Highlands are just breathtaking with the rocky crags and deep valleys. They are especially beautiful when they are covered in purple shades of heather. When you're hiking through glens bursting with such vibrant shades of green and lavender it's not hard to imagine fairies flitting through the flowers. It seems an ideal place for them. Scotland really is in a class all it's own. I hope you get to visit some day and see how magical it really is. Have a nip of Glenfiddich whisky in the World's End, walk the Royal Mile, see a cutting edge play at The Fringe, mourn at Culloden, watch seals frolic off the coast, hike through Glencoe...just do it all! I go to Florida every year. I love being by the ocean, and there are so many other places to see. I've been to Key West, Tampa, Panama City, Jacksonville, Orlando, and St. Augustine. There are still more place there I haven't seen yet, and every time I go back, I try to do something new. [KarenO52]

My favourite vocation destination is on the Sutra Beach REsort in Kuala Terengganu Malaysia. I love that place because I can release all my tension there and I also can see the beautiful scenery there. Just the fact that I'am too busy...I and my family have planned vacation just near out of town. Were we could unwined ourselves for a while. I love the good old Isle of Wight which is the little island immediately below England. The romans called it Vectis. It has its sandy beaches and fossil cliffs. Its windy walks and its history. We have been there two years running and swam everday (even in the rain). Picnics on the beach and hunting for shells. Just a simple holiday with no worries. Lovely! [mihimolly]

I have been to alot of countries and from all I have been so far -. I love alanya - wich is located inm turkey... It is a paradise and the prices are great. There is no need to spend alot of money, it is all so chap =) I also love the canary islands, but it has becomed very expensive since spain joined european union... My next holiday will probabl be Bulgaria - but I would love to go to the states as well - Florida maybe =) [Marie2473]

Unfortunately, it has been a long while since I have been on a real vacation. The last vacation I went on was a couple weeks after I had my youngest son. We just took a trip to visit family in Casper, WY. It wasn't a very vacationy spot, but we were there for about a week and had a good time. It was over the 4th of July also. I did get to go out alone with my ex once in a while, it is nice to have family to babysit! I would love to take a vacation one of these days. I would like to go to the Poconos and stay in one of the champaigne suites with the champaigne glass jacuzzis! [kfrisk]

For a vacation full of lots of fun things to do, it would definitely be Disney. Depending on what I am in the mood for would determine which Disney. But any Disney park is great, so it really doesn't matter. If I am in the mood to relax and have a great time, while being treated like Royalty ;-) than it would be a cruise. The destination isn't as important to me, just along as I can cruise. If I am in the mood for some nice cold weather, beautiful landscapes and wildlife, then it is definitely Alaska. A cruise to Alaska would work just fine as well. If I am in the mood for a little bit longer trip and sightseeing, than it would be something like Asia or Egypt, or any place far, far, away. Oh yes a few days would be even better. I think we have it all backwards. We should work 2 days and be off 5, or work 2 weeks and be off 50? Many other countries besides the US grant employees many more vacation days than where I live. The even sadder part is that most Americans do not even really take the full two weeks of vacation every year (or whatever amount they get). A lot of the time they just lose some of the time, or they take it, but still answer emails, cellphones, and other work-related issues while they are on their surfboards! [runningman72]
I live in Indiana and my favorite vacation place is Indiana Beach I have been going there since I was about 10 years old. it has alot of memories of my mom and me there it kind of makes me feel closer to her when I am there now that she is gone. but it is so much fun and they have rides, games and I do alot of fishing there. As I haven't been on holiday since 1987 the places I have been will have changed so much I doubt I'd recognise them .. I did have 4 days in Istanbul and would recommend anyone who enjoys 'other cultures' to go there .. it's a wonderful place a real mix of old cultures and new .. I spent a year in Liberia .. but you can't go there as they are still at war .. I think my favourite holiday destination has to any of the plethora of places I haven't yet visited .. like Nepal, Belize, Patagonia, Bhutan .. never been, never likely to .. but oh how I wish I could ..
