hello! It's really good to be back..It was a long vacation and though I missed postings here, I must say I did enjoy my days away from the city, away from pollution and noise..away from my PC. :)
We went swimming last Friday and we loved it so much because there are few people in the resort,we almost have it by ourselves. It was one memorable occassion for me seeing my whole family and the kids laughing and enjoying the cool water together.
I just hope there will be more long weekends..:) So..How did you spend yours?

We were at my mother-in-law's place. We basically just bummed around. I hope I would be able to take my son to outings when he's bigger, but now, we think he's just too young and we're too lazy to make the holy week trek. :) My husband's joking that maybe next year we'll go to the beach AFTER the holy week so that we don't go with the huge crowd. [ethanmama]
I think it's best to go out on beaches and resorts after or before the holy week, because we all know it's jampacked with people during holy weeks, everyone wants to take the opportunity of the long vacation. :)I'm sure your son will enjoy it! [cefaz_21]
I'm sure that my sins have caused Him nothing but grief. The whole purpose of Holy Week is to reflect on God's mercy and what He has done for you through His offering of His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. It is to focus on the life and death of Jesus and the suffering He went through so that you can have forgiveness for your sins and the gift of eternal life. I went to a church near by who had a fund raiser program and spent time as a volunteer for supporting this social cause. [samrat16]
Hey! that's nice of you..Supporting social causes worth spending our time..what a better way to spend holy week. You're right ti's the time when we reflect and commemorate the greatest act of love ever given to humanity and I think we have to celebrate it not only during holy week but for the rest of the days as well. glad that you had a great time my friend. it sure is good to be away from the city's stressful life. i went hiking last good friday, we did the 14th station there. it was tiring but worth it. we learned that one of the hikers died, because she fell off the cliff. there were a lot of people i heard, she must have slipped. may her soul be in heaven today. [jdpartosa]
uh oh..sad to hear that..:( yeah may her soul find rest in God's presence. I never had an experience of hiking. My health won't even permit me now..but it's one activity I would like to try, maybe when I'm fit I' ll go and try at least once. Hope you had fun too! [cefaz_21]
Well, I wanted really bad to go with my friends to the beach, but the thing is I promised my parents that I'd be attending this retreat in church. So that's what I did, I attended a two-night retreat. Then after the retreat, I just spent time for myself. Bought scented candles, listened to music and wrote some stuff...I was pretty lax during the holidays...It wasn't really bad, itwasn't really great either. Just wished I could've done something more. It sounds like you had a very nice vacation. Afriad I didn't do anything special. Was sick most of the week, still not feeling the greatest but better than I was. Sunday spent time with family but highlight of my week would have been Thursday evening. Our small group from church met for light dinner then all attended the tenabrae service together - it was very emotional and spiritual and I am so blessed to have been able to attend this service, I had never been before. I went to San Marcelino Zambales and spent the Holy Week there. We attended the prossesion, went to the beach and had some chat with relatives [micamyx]
Yeah, more long weekends! :) I spent my holy week with relatives and family friends in a beach in Bataan. (imagine, all 21 of us moving from one place to another!) We spent the night sleeping under the stars while keeping the bonfire alive. We had the most successful bonfire in the strip because we were able to keep it burning till dawn. :D [p0wcheee]

Welcome back to myLot! It's good to hear that you really enjoyed your vacation and had such fun. My family doesn't spend holy week so I spent the whole of last week the usual way. We did go swimming on Friday, though, with most of our neighbors. I had such fun because it was quite a while since I went swimming. I'm looking forward to spending more enjoyable time with my family and friends this summer since school's out. Happy posting! [joy358]

I've been on a small vacation too. I spent two days with my boyfriend and his parents near a monastery where we went for the Saturday service. We camped next to the river for the night and Sunday we went further to another resort. It was great, although there were only two days away from everything, just like you said. I hope this summer we can go camping again but for at least one week or so. [contuletz2007]
