Best Type Of Vacation

When I was younger every time I went on vacation it was myself and 2 cousins, my mom and my aunt...We usually got a hotel somewhere since my aunt was a travel agent and went to a theme park or something in that nature. I always had fun because obviously your on vacation.. When I was 17 I went on my first cruise with my best friend and her family. And I think that is where I fell in love with cruising. As I am getting older obviously the cost of something is what determines if I am going to do it or not. In my personal opinion, I think cruising gives me the best deal when it comes to money. I don't have to worry about renting a car to go anywhere. There is plenty of on board activities. On a 7 day cruise I can probably see 3 or 4 different islands. Even for people with families I think it is a great bargain because they have kids programs, and people to watch your kids. I personally enjoy Carnival Cruise Line as it has never disappointed me. Next time if you think of taking a vacation, think of a cruise!

I adore visiting some tropical islands and doing some snorkeling to see the colorful coral. I went to the Fiji when I was 20 years old. I remember staying on Beachcomber Island. I had an excellent time. I went to French Polynesia, the Cook Islands and Samoa when I was 30 years old. I had such a wonderful time seeing the different islands. When I was 32 years old I went to the Seychelles and had a magical time. I remember the blissful sunsets I saw there. At age 33 years old I went to the Maldives and had a lovely time. I was 34 years old I went to Belize and snorkeled on at the glorious looking reef. I now have a disabled toddler son and a baby daughter. For my trips in the last few years I have taken my son to Portugal when he was four months old, to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia when he was 13 months old and to South Africa when he was 20 months old. I shall be taking him when he is three years old and my daughter is one year old to Canada. We will visit Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. I love to explore different countries and meet the local people. When my children are older I hope to be able to visit some tropical islands again. [maximax8]
I would like to go to Cozumel one day. That is my sort of destination. I hope that you will go to South Africa and get to go on a safari for a few days. I suggest you take a good camera with you. Yes, it is really great fun. happy [maximax8]

I love to fly.. but I would never go on a cruise ship... there is something in my mind like.. what if it's the Titanic all over again... but this time I'm in the picture. No thanks! I love flying.. and I know planes can crash too... but for some reason that doesn't scare me.. but drowning does. Hope you always enjoy your vacations! [OreoCookie3]
Cruising isn't all that bad..The more you think about it, the more you aren't going to do it. I convinced about 98% of people that were scared of cruising to go and they enjoyed themselves...The other 2% we went during hurricane season so it was a lot of rain so I am not counting that..I mean with the airfare prices, cruising is so much better! You should at least try it. The Titanic happened in 1912 I am pretty sure things have improved since then.. [Flirtykumquat]

I grew up in a tropical island, so I've had my fill of sun and sand, and beaches. My favorite vacation for now are theme parks. I have kids, so anywhere we can fly out, stay in a hotel, and have a theme park nearby is a great vacation for me. If I were by myself, I'd go back to Asia. There are a lot of things offered in big cities in Asia that you couldn't find here in north America.wink [bounce58]
Oh yeah! Take your vacations now while you don't have kids! Enjoy them while you can!happy [bounce58]

Cruises are awesome, I am invited to at least 2 a year, and sadly, it seems I can never find the funds to make it one. I can afford to go on the cruises no problem, it is getting to the ports of call that seem to always be the problem, but I think that problem will soon be saved, just got to get a touch more committed to my Home Based Business. I love and appreciate you. [CJscott]
Taking a cruise isn't expensive at all....it is getting to the port, when you live over 3000 miles from any Ocean, that is pricy. Cheers, I appreciate you. [CJscott]

I really want to go to Europe but I can't find anyone to go with me.... :( [Flirtykumquat]

Hmmm. The cruises here are pricey, so that's out of the question for now.. Maybe when I get older ( and richer. Hahaha ). For now I would stick to the things that I love, like visiting different islands here in our country. There are so many beautiful places here in the Philippines that the list just goes on and on, and it seems that the more I see, the beautiful the places that I go to .. I love going to the beaches and the islands, and just seeing nature at it's best. [Ingkingderders]
I live in the Philippines. Singapore is the nearest country that offers cruises internationally. Though I think here in our country, we have a local cruise line. [Ingkingderders]

The best was when we were younger was when we would rent a beach house and just have an awesome time at the beach. Lounging about and not giving a care. [illfavors]

I am not into cruise actually. I am more in traveling and I just want to stay out of the country for a month without thinking all the stressors in here. But as of now, that would be so far from possible. [joannaleed]
That is why cruising you can escape out of the country for just a weekend and enjoy it!! [Flirtykumquat]

Never been on a real cruise, I've taken ferries to and fro Norway, to England, Denmark, Germany and Iceland/Faroe islands, but for me it's always been transportation, not the main point of the trip. There's quite few people who drive to Oslo to go on a cruise (or so they call it) to Denmark or Germany. It doesn't involve much sight-seeing I'm afraid, it's mainly eating as much as possible, drinking as much as possible and buying as much cheap chocolate, alcohol and cigarettes as possible. Which might be why I prefer to see that part of the journey as a transport, not holiday :-) The other passengers are just too annoying. [Torunn]
