Have you ever seen the movie, "AROUND THE WORLD IN 30 DAYS". In which the character travel around the world in just a month. I think the newest release was done by Jackie Chan..^_^ (i hope i am right). Well, anyway..if given the chance to travel around the world in just 30 days.. would you accept it? For me, i will surely accept this, i am an adventurous man an i love to travel.. I have travel some most of the islands here in the Philippines and my next target will be to travel around the world.. ^_^

i've never seen that movie, but yes, i would love to travel around the world! i hope to visit many places one day, when i have the time and money lol. there are so many places i'd like to go. currently, i've been to many, many states in the US, mexico, the grand cayman islands, and the bahamas. that's it for me. :/ hopefully one day that list will be much more extensive lol. Lucky he didn't do it in feb :) I've never seen the film though I'm a big jackie chan fan. I would accept it gladly. It'd be a fantastic challege but you know at the same time it'd be kinda sad, because there will be places you LOVE or people you don't want to leave but would have too So there's an upside and a downside. I mean the other downside is the fatique and the pressure you'd be under to see everything. It also would feel like cheating to go to these places but never really experience them for long enough But I would accept it just because most of us will die before seeing even 1% of what the world has to offer so it's just how it is. Yes, if given an opportunity, i'd like to travel around the world.. i'd like to visit the places i've never seen before such as Hawaii, Carribean, Las Vegas, Maldives, Italy, France, Australia, Switzerland, Holland, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Germany, Austria, San Francisco, Canada, among others. Plus, I'd also like to explore beautiful places here in the Philippines such as Palawan, Batanes, Bohol, Cebu, etc.. [gracie04]

I believe now, I would appreciate travelling more unlike when I was younger, I only want to stay indoors and had no inclination to explore. I have really in my own way. I have been to eypt,nigeria,germany,fance,spain,brazil and italy which is around the world for me in a way as most people dont travel that often and it's nice to see how different countries are and how they deliver themselves. [itsmauricecassidy]
For most of my childhood I wished to go on a trip around the world and wondered when I would be able to go on that. I only had to wait until I was 20 years old and then I set off around the world for just over one year. I would happily do a second trip around the world for 30 days. My route when I was 20 years old included the USA mainland, Hawaii, Fiji, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. If I chose my destinations for a 30 day trip around the world it would be London to Santiago to Easter Island to Santiago to Vancouver to Cebu to Beijing to Bangkok to Delhi to Cairo and back to London. Then I would be able to visit a friend in Chile and go with her to Easter Island before flying on to Canada. Then I would fly over to China, Thailand and the Philippines for island hopping and snorkeling, India for the Taj Mahal and Egypt for the pyramids. [maximax8]

The movie is Around The World in 80 Days which was based from a novel with the same title and its one of my favorite books... the author is Jules Verne. I have attached a pic of the book, the one I have is an unabridged version which is really old by now. I have a book collection of Jules Verne's books, the other were 20,00 Leagues Under the Sea and Journey to the Center of the Earth. If you will read the book and compare it to the movie, it has a lot of differences. On the novel, Phileas Fogg of London and his newly employed French valet Passepartout attempt to navigate the world in 80 days on a £20,000 wager set by his friends at the Reform Club. Fogg was a nobleman but he stoled money from the club and ran away. Passepartout is a good man on his character, unlike in the movie that he stole the Green Jade Buddha. I love travelling as you and I have been to other countries in the past few years. Its impossible to travel around the world in 80 days. If you are going to Asian countries (where I have been so many times) like Thailand and Singapore, it takes 3 hours by plane. Well that time, airplane was not yet invented and they use the hot-air balloon (same with the novel). What more if you will travel by ship? It takes 2 1/2days by ship from Manila to Cebu. If you are in western countries like Belgium, it takes 17 hours to come to the Philippines and 14 hours if you are coming from the West Coast of the United States of America. My bf is a Belgian guy who have been here already and he's coming back again next month. Along time ago, my grandmother has tried to travel the world in 80 days by plane and she has not really roam the world in 80 days, she has been to some countries but not every country. Same with the novel, the characters spent a few days in India to save the young widow woman to be burned (so that she can reunite with her dead husband which was the custom in India during the early times). Well, of course I'll accept it.. Since I was a child, I really dream of traveling and exploring around the world.. I want to know and learn other countries customs and traditions particularly their social life.. I think 30 days isn't enough to be able to travel around the world since you could just stay in that places for a couple of hours and cannot really feel the excitement and cannot know or learn new things from that places.. But if I were given a chance even just a month I'll accept it no matter what it takes.. lol [kissie34]

Hello pals101, Yes, every opportunity to travel around the world, I will surely take. It is my dream to travel and visit places in our world and it possible outside our world. Even in our place, the Philippines I haven't travel around it extensively. It is quite a daunting task because of money and the time involve. I have quite travel around the northern part of Luzon but not the Visayas or Mindanao. I was lucky enough to visit the USA and France but not around ASIA. I think a lot of people will readily jump at this chance to travel around the world, but I won't. I'll tell you why. I am a seasoned traveler. I have been traveling regularly on holidays for more than 20 years now, and I love vacations. My shortest trip was 4 days and my longest was 24 days. So why am I saying I am not really keen to travel around the world? The reason is simply that holidays are to be enjoyed. They are times when you want to get away from the stresses of life, relax and rejuvenate. But at the same time, you want to fly off to some distant land and explore new places, visit tourist destinations you have not seen, do something different perhaps like go on adventure tours, shop, eat and have fun. You can work in a balanced holiday and have a great time. But I also believe there is a limit, after which one can feel tired or jaded from all the traveling and rushing around. When tiredness sets in, the enjoyment level in the holiday will start to wane. I still remember my 24-day holiday to Europe. I hopped from country to country and visited 12 countries in all. It was great for the first 3 weeks, but after that, tiredness set in and my family and I just wanted to go home, and the holiday wasn't that enjoyable anymore. I think going on a 30-day world trip will be like this because the world is so large and very much traveling will be involved; that's why I prefer not to embark on one. I would rather a holiday that lasts up to say 3 weeks, and where I can be more focused and see maybe up to a few countries at most. [lexus54]
