This movie is a classic. I watch it every year at Christmastime. Although it is a little on the off side, it does have a message.

I look forward to watching this movie every year. My favorite part is them getting that giant tree in the house and the squireel being in the tree. It reminds me once when I got a tree that was really big. I also like the part with the cat. Although I love cats, that was hysterical. [brendalee]

Yes, I love this movie! I like when the are sitting down to Christmas dinner and they ask the old aunt to say grace and she says "Grace? Oh, she died years ago." and her husband says "The blessing, they want you to say the blessing!" and she stands up and says the Pledge of Alligence. Too funny! I wish I had it on DVD! [courtlynne77]

Chevy Chase was the Jim Carey of yesterday. Lampoon movies are the greatest, except for Caddyshack. THis is the best Chevy Chase movie ever made, probably because of the allstar cast supporting him. I loved that movie. [pookie92]
Chevy Chase Movies are awesome... almost like a peice of history...My two favorite Chevy chase movies are National Lampoons Vacation with the dog peeing on the sandwiches and National Lampoons Christmas Vacation... the first time dh and I watched this movie... we just about died laughing...I am not sure if it was the movie or if it was because I was slightly intoxicated...(don't do that anymore)but i remember laughing so hard especially when he was upstairs in the attic and he would walk one way and slam the board hit him in the head and then he turned and slam another board hit him in the head...he he ha ha....The Christmas movie is one of the greatest Christmas specials out there ever. This past weekend I took my 10 year old and two of his friends to a movie... we ended up seeing deck the halls..it was okay... but I thought with Danny Devito being in the movie it would have been better but then again i always compare a Christmas movie with Christmas Vacation and like Dh said... it ain't no Christmas vacation and I have to agree....Oh yeah... another favorite movie of mine is steve martin... the jerk.... Love the movie the Jerk! I love it when he is leaving his house and says I don't need anything, except this lamp, ashtray, etc. I often use quotes from the Jerk, Christmas Vacation, and A Christmas Story in general conversation. Some people look at me like I am nuts. You know that they just don't get it. The ones that do will laugh and tell you their favorite lines from the movie too! [ElusiveButterfly]
