I love to travel anywhere and I prefer it to be alone for you can do what you want i mean anything you have in mind. If you have company, there will be time that he or she will disagree to the things you wanna do. Thats gonna make you a bad day. Right? But when it's going to be for more than a day i would like to have company. once i went outing with my friends which had a travel for one and a half day in the train. we just enjoyed so much in the train. we never knew how time passed. it's a memorable day [chinniR]

The reason being is, i like having someone to talk to as well as having someone to ask for opinions, say, during shopping. Moreover, when it comes to making decisions, I get undecisive. I was choosing for a dress and then i always ask her if it look good on me or does it fit well. At first she is giving suggestions. Maybe she got tired to me always asking and she said can you not decide for your own? I was in a silence for a while. But she said sorry. I forgive her. Travelling alone is good and yes you do get to do a lot of things the way you want to. I've done quite a bit of it now. However when i look back, i think it would me much more fun and interesting if you have company. It's much better when you can enjoy a good trip with someone else. [alokn99]

I travelled a lot both on my own and in a group and I like both ways. You get more of the place you are visiting when you go on your own, and there are always more chances to meet new people, or to talk to stangers when you are alone. In a group it is fun too. You see things in a different way, and you enjoy both the new place and the company of your friends. You can share the experience. [overwings]

I prefer to travel alone that way I can choose my destination, my accommodation, move around as fast as I like and can do all the activities that I wish to. I am an independent traveler and not a package tourist. Typically I buy a flight and and travel guide book and then off I go. I usually travel around on buses, trains and ferries. I stay in budget accommodation like locally owned guest houses and my ex boyfriend that I went to the Seychelles with wanted to stay in luxury hotels. He was scared of the insects in the seaside guest house. When I went to Mexico I was on my own and I had the enjoyment of staying in a tall tree house and in a thatched beach hut with a sand floor. If he had been with me he would have been so lazy to go caving. Traveling with someone else means compromise for a happy time traveling together. These days I travel with my toddler son. He is a happy little 15 month old. He needs much equipment and taking his push chair upstairs is challenging. I love traveling and I will probably won't be able to travel alone again until my children are grown up. [maximax8]

I love to travel, whether it's a short weekend trip or a week long vacation. I don't mind traveling alone, you can stop along the way if you want, and see things that might interest you. But, I have to admit I'd rather travel with my boyfriend. It's fun to share things with someone, especially if it is somewhere new, that neither of you have been to before. He's pretty good about going to see or do things that I would like, even if it's not something he would particularly choose to do himself. Then on the other hand, we have done some things that were his choice, and maybe not something I would have necessarily chosen to do. It depends on what kind of company you are going with. I can tell you one thing, never go on a long trip with you best friend. I don't know why, but you will always get into a fight with each other. I've never traveled alone so I don't know what the merits of traveling solo are. But I've always enjoyed going abroad with my family. Though we may spend time arguing about where to go and what to eat, it's a whole lot of fun to share the experience with people you like. i like to travel with my family member, well, because we work five or six days a week, some of my family members are living in different area, so we are seldom meet together. only wait until holiday, normally we will planning a trip that everybody can afford and nice place for traveling together. this is fun and nice, we can talk, eat, drink together, all our children are most enjoyable, they playing, shouting, swimming together. ps we are a big family, i have 3 brothers, and 5 sisters, mostly are marriage and we have our own kids, so even we have almost 20 children in whole family. so that you can imagine that very crowded but happy together. but sometime i will travel with my friends only, this is different feeling from family. anywhere traveling is a good activity. I too like to travel alone. Pretty much for the same reasons that you have said.....You get to wake up in the morning and then decide what you want to do that day and you don't get the old "I don't want to do that....maybe tomorrow!" Or the .....What do you want to do, I don't know....what do you want to do? and of course this goes back and forth and then when you finally suggest something , then the other person says "I don't want to do that". It all depends. If that person shares your interests, then it might be ok to travel together. I have tried both and of course, it is much more fun to travel with others. you can laugh together and see sites together and so on. Unlike being alone, at the airport, you're already on your own. Most of the time, I "people watch" and daydream at the airport.LOL!lol [jammyt]
