Have you ever stayed in a horrible hotel? What made it so bad for you? What did you do?
I have stayed in a coupel such hotels.,one ou would not believe. It was horrendous.People dying left and right, empoloyyees who stole, sold drugs, and ripped you off,and the nastiest hotel you ever laid eyes on.
There was another one that the carpet was so nasty my socks were mud black within seconds of walking across the floor.

hi erikmama it was a motel in Santa Fe New Mexico, and luckily we only had to stay one night. We woke up in the middle of the night from an odd rustling noise, and I turned on the one dim overheadangry light. there on the window sills were these monster giant cockroaches oh my g and yuck . I had to move over and get in' bed with my sister as they were falling off onto my bed.I never was so disgusted in my life, we got hardly any sleep and were never so grateful to get back to our house where we lived at the time in tempe arizona. the whole room smelled and was super dirty but the roaches were the worst. gross ville for sure.angrythumbdown [Hatley]
I'dda run Hatley! and demanded my money back post haste! [SomeCowgirl]
Eww this has happened to us! we stayed at this little hole in the wall hotel. We moved our stuff in and we were just hanging out and it looked soooo disgusting! it was so dirty! there were so many bugs! To top it off when we left, we were in the car, and there was a HUGE bug on my blanket from the hotel and it was so gross! [britt_200]
yeah well we had to stay there my dad was interviewing and thats the room they gave us! that was the bad part. they gave us the worst hotel in town! yeah and i couldnt sleep because it was so gross. i cant sleep in a dirty room to begin with but if its not even my room and its dirty it was just a bad experience ! [britt_200]
I won't say the name of the hotel but it's in Las Vegas, NV. It has a creepy clown theme. The highrise room were nice but when we stayed in the separate motel like rooms, it was awful. The air didn't work, the mattress was nasty, the room had a musty water logged smell, half the outlets quit working and the creepy clowns didn't help anything. [dotchianni]
Only the decapitated ones! We had a picture in our room that had decapitated clowns in it. The ones downstairs were on the pillars. The light was dim and so it looked like they were glaring down at you. It was pretty eerie. It wasn't like it was Bo Bo the circus clown style friendly circus clowns, it was like a horror movie style clowns. [dotchianni]
I moved to miami and needed a place to stay for a few weeks. I stayed on Biscayne Blvd at a slob of a place. it was over run by drugs. prostitutes and thieves. The employees stole my food and lied. they charged me 60.00 a night to stay in a roach infested place. I was going broke and living in hell all the same time. I was swimming in a pool they had not even cleaned. When the water got mucky they closed down the pool for good. How can you do this to people who came from nY. Thanks god they did not steal my car. [SharonJohnson]
Are you sure you werent in Tennessee at the hotel I was at? The maitanance man sold drugs, then kicked youout after he sold them to you. The people at thr front stole mail, housekeepers stole from rooms. I saw a rat run across the building, crackheads filled the place, and bums and lowlifes. It was great, very memorable to sat the least. The pool sounds lovely. bet you were ready to go take a dip!! LOL!! [erikmama]
Hi erikmama. A few years back, while driving back from California to Washington state in the middle of winter, we encountered a snow storm in the mountains of north CA. So we had to stop at any motel we could find at a town just before the mountain. The room only had one small dim light. So we slept on top of the bed without changing our clothes. The light the following day confirmed how dirty the place was. Soot and cockroaches in the corners... ugh!doh [bounce58]
O gross. How horrible to wake up and realize this is whre you had to sleep all night.Gross!! [erikmama]
erikmama, I was about to write "dang yeah, I was in this hotel once and-", then I read about the one you've been in and felt really lucky, lol. Had the worst experience with hotels in Delft. Me and my parents got 'cheated' by one of the workers and had to spend lots of money. Meh. :( [Jargoness]
Ok, I am even more los than before...and not sure I wanna know the rest!! LOL!!! [erikmama]
Never been in one and I never want that experience .Luckily the hotels I have stayed in so far have been quality hotel with great service and wonderfull ambience .And unless it was unavoidable I wouldnt stay in a bad hotel .I would have packed up and tried to find another hotel if it was possible.Isnt there someone who regulates these hotels and makes sure they are in tip top shape? [ronnyb]
We were on a budget. But it wont happen again.I have learned a hotel is always worth the price yo pay.You get what you pay for, thats for sure. [erikmama]
Yes, it was terrible. I had to serve other people, and after they left clean everything up. Before they got there I had to put things out. Some people would be kind, but others so mean... Oh you mean stay in one? lol I knew that! Sorry just being goofy. I've only stayed in one hotel, and that was at prom. It wasn't that bad actually but I am sure it was more gross then it looked. I recently read an article about hotel's and how they AREN'T cleaned. I'd have to say I agree, I used to work for two big chains in the county I used to reside, and wow the employees were treated badly! I'm sure they wouldn't want to actually "work". [SomeCowgirl]
For the prom I stayed in a low budget hotel, it didn't look to bad but I am sure it was worse then it looked, lol, like I said. yes those low budget ones, lord only knows what goes on in those. I'd rather stay at a cabin myself, though lol, it'd have to be a two bedroom cabin or have a couch as hubby and i tried staying at a cabin by ourselves, but we couldn't. [SomeCowgirl]
Aww man this brings back memories... There was this one time in Europe and i went into this motel or hotel, well one of them i forgot and there were SO MANY bugs inside and the sink has filthy. Man, just everything is disgusting there. I'm never going to go back to that hotel! >_< [Ironically]
LOL!! I hope you wont go back!! It is so wrong for these people to een rent the rooms like this,or put it in the paper before we pay for it!! LOL!! [erikmama]
My husband and I took our first real vacation many years ago - we went to Roanoke Island in NC. When we checked in, it didnt look so bad. It was small and had no luxuries, but we didn't really need them. However, when we went to take our showers, the towels were clean but stained with blood, and the shower head fell on my husband when he was showering. The customer service was horrible as well. We complained and they didn't even care. I guess they are used to one-time visitors, so they don't even try to save customers. Bah!! I will only stay in well known hotels or one that has been referred to me by someone I trust now. [rainie30]
The hotel people dont care. They know how nasty these rooms are when they rent them out, thentheres nothing we can do about it. And most of the time poeple go through what you did-a who cares attitude.Maybe you'll never experience this again!! [erikmama]
yes i ever stayed in some horrible hotel and i will never want to stay there again.but the hotel is still not as horrible as the one you ever stayed.those rooms i ever stay is only for my useage at least but i do not like the high price with low quality. [celebratelifeh]
Once it had happened to my husband and I. We stayed at a hotel where they were doing a lot of construction and did not notify us. When we checked out and were asked if we liked our room we told the manager that we were not satisfied and they gave us a refund. I am glad we got our money back. I am sorry that you had a bad experience as well. [randylovesdar]
Ive heard of hotel giving refunds in those situations, but there are still plenty of them that wouldnt have done that. Hotels are notorious for bad customer service.I am glad even though you had a bad stay you were given a refund. [erikmama]
Just one, but I don't think my experience was nearly as bad as yours. I was in seventh grade and it was our performance trip with my piano teacher. We were actually only about 30 miles away from home too. We were staying at a hotel that was very near one of the state colleges, that is a known party school. Well, the weekend that we were there, there were several parties at the hotel and there were a ton of police calls while we were there. The entire first night that we were there there was red and blue lights coming through our window. [dorannmwin]
