First Day At Work From A Vacation:

Every time I came from a vacation my feet are just so heavy and my eyes don't even want to open in the morning Because it's time to work. But This is life we have to work in order to earn. I really don't know why this is happening to me. Even if my stress are all gone because i have had a good vacation, but when the day to return back to work if felt i don't want to work. How about you? do you experience the same thing?

Yeah, I know what you mean. Its like you just wanna be on vacation for the rest of your life. lol. And for me, when I go back at work, its like I don't know what to do. haha. [donsky14]
Wouldn't it be nice if we get paid and just have our vacation?? lol. [donsky14]

Hi,Jcsayson. I don't want to get up so early in the morning too. and I always feel that time on holiday passes faster than working times! [candyoops]

i do not want my vacation to end too. but i know that's our duty. but surprisingly i was excited to work this morning [thebestmom]

It is also happening to me, every time I came from a long weekend or vacation, it feels like i don't want to work on the following day. But I think this feeling is quite normal because our body is conditioned for long rest. What you are going to do is fight your stress, try to condition your mind that you really have to get up early for work. If you cannot fight negative feelings and disposition it will really stay in your system. [jlamela]

I do have same problem with you. But I try to motivate myself that I need to work in order to have money. [kent_help2smile]

Yeah I act like that especially around the holidays. I only had to work three days and then had Christmas off so it was like a 4 day weekend. Then I worked three days and had New Year's off. Your brain goes on vacation, you sleeping in late, and then when it is time to start the regular routine, your brain has the fits. Where I am living, it is cold and there is snow on the ground. I really wish I could be like a bear and hibernate until springtime. [BinaryKat]

Um! I feel you. Sometimes, I just don't like going back to work after a long holiday or vacation. You can barely get up out of bed and you just are slow at getting to work . lol. You just have to remember they are giving you money to go on with the job. It will be over soon, right? [callarse1]
lol yeah. its just like your feet is having so much cramps and your arms just wanted to hug the pillows and wont let go. It really not easy to adjust from vacation to work. [Jcsayson]

You are perfectly right. Actually I'm in my work place now, a first day of work from a 9 days relaxing and excited vacation. But I am too lazy to start my tasks yet, thanks to mylot as my companion this moment. Maybe it is just an effect of the overwhelming fun brought by the holidays. I will just try to cope up tomorrow with my tasks. [DenverLC]

maybe you don't really like the industry you are working in or something is making you unhappy hence you don't feel motivated to get up in the morning for work. [aislounge]

I think most people feel the same way you do. After a nice vacation you feel so relaxed and refreshed, you don't look forward to the long and daily grind of the workplace anymore. But you need to earn to live so you just look forward to your next vacation. lol. [nijolechu]

Yes, I'm always lazy after the vacation and I start working very slowly. I see that my colleagues share the same behavior, so we still work well. But evryone has to work, and we can't take air as food to maintain our lives. [coldmoon]

My first day at work from new year's vacation is quite busy. Pushed by many clients at the same time hehe. Fortunately I can still handle all timely. Good job to myself lol [chriszh22]

where i work we were shut down the week between Christmas and New Years so today was my first day back. not only that, our business hours have changed so i had to start a half an hour earlier! [cher913]

I totally understand what you are talking about. I feel the same way. Long is the vacation, it is more hard to move on with regular life. Even after the two days of weekend it is hard to go back to weekdays on Monday. [sweetlady10]

My husband is this exact same way. He had four days off over Christmas and then two days off in a row during the New Year holiday. Add that to the fact that he is now off of work tomorrow for a funeral and he is not going to want to go to work for days to come. He is accustomed to working six days per week so any time that he has two days off in a row is a treat for him. He has the hardest time waking up after he has either had an entire weekend off or when he has had a short vacation. [dorannmwin]
