To all my friends, I will be going to a cruise tomorrow. We leave for the airport at six in the morning, and will be in Vancouver, from there we will take the ship to Alaska and be there seven days, at which we will stay in Vancouver for a couple of days. I hope to be back on either July 6th or July 8th at the latest. So if you cannot see any of my posts or responses tomorrow, you'll know I will be looking at all that lovely Alaskan scenery.

I can see that you posted this discussion 5 months ago. Although late, I am congratulating you for a very nice and wonderful travel. So how was your trip to Alaska? I know you had a great time. I visited Vancouver 3rd week of April 2007 and stayed with my brother and his family who lives in a neighboring city of Vancouver, British Columbia. I have not experience to travel on a cruise, except a short ride on a ferry going to Victoria. [joyce959]
Hi there. Nice to know that you were pampered on the cruise ship and that you had a wonderful time. I hope one day I can also travel on a cruise. I will surely enjoy the experience of seing various sceneries and also being pampered, being served food and just relaxing and also meeting other fellow travelers. I appreciate the best response. Happy mylotting. [joyce959]
I hope that you enjoyed this cruise. My husband and I want to take a cruise to Alaska one of these days. I would like to go in the next year or two but I don't know if we will get to or not. [carolscash]
We had to wait until after retirement. We could not have done it otherwise. Don't worry, you'll get there. [suspenseful]
How wonderful! How was your cruise? What did you do? What did you see? My Mother (before she died) and I went to Vancover and then took a cruise of the inside passage of Alaska. We were on the Norwegian line ship. We also took a Helicopter ride over mountains and then it landed on a glacier. We walked around on the glacier. We took a bus tour of one of the islands. Most of the time, we walked around on foot. We got to see some Russian Folk Dancing and some Tlingit Dancing. We ate at a Native American cookout with the most melt-in-your-mouth Salmon on the earth. We saw gigantic flowers in Vancouver. We also saw a giganic area remade from a strip mine into Botanical Garden somewhere near Vancouver. That was such an exciting trip. I can't believe I missed this post, I surely would have responded. Many people have gone to or would like to go to Alaska, I'm sure getting this up toward the top of the pile again will really help you. This is a wonderful post. So tell us all about it! Take care [writersedge]
We went in 1996. Sounds like you had a wonderful time, too. That's great! We didn't get a chance to go by train. Take care [writersedge]
Wow!This is a 5 month old post. So, obviously you are back from your cruise. Hope you had a lovely time and a wonderful trip. Was it a long awaited vacation that you were looking forward to? I hope you enjoyed it and had a fun time. [SViswan]
I was wondering why no one answered it before that. We were saving up for it and it was after my husband took early retirement. We should have lots of fun and the cruise was to die for and Alaska, wonderful scenery and we picked up a few souvenirs! [suspenseful]
You are so lucky! I have always wanted to go on a cruise, but with the loss of my store, the stroke last year and no income coming in, it will be a miracle! However, I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to go on a cruise someday. Hope you had a lot of fun on your cruise...Take care! [seagoddess28]
It was fun. We saved up for it and we could not take it until my husband took early retirement and on top of that, we went to Prince Edward Island and back to Manitoba through the States in Fall. Then there was the wedding. It reminded me when I was in my late teens and early twenties and I was living with my 'foster mom:" and we would go all over B.C and into Washington State camping. I mean to be stuck in Winnipeg except for a week trip to Saskatoon almost every year, boring. [suspenseful]
