Seeing as I am currently out of work it would be a cheek to say that I'm due a vacation, but nevertheless I have one in 8 weeks time and counting (tick, tick!) I am going to my retreat for 10 days down by the sea and I can't wait, it keeps me going, and we all need something to look forward to in life. [wolfie34]

Well, good for you. I wish I could get one, but I really can't afford one. I plan on going with the family to New York next year. We will probably stop and tour Washington DC while we are at it. My last vacation was 2 years ago and it was in Savannah, so I didn't even go out of state... it was just to have some fun at the beach for a few days. [charlene2350]
oh, its amazing how much even a few days can help. I love the ocean and being at the beach sounds great. I dont want to live near them anymore but I still like to visit. [eaforeman6]
The last actual vacation I took was 2 years ago. I need one desperately but of course I don't have the money and not sure where I'd even go if I did. I think just getting out of the area for a few days would be a blessing. Of course it would be nice to just have a few hours alone. That would be heavenly :) [emeraldisle]
Oh yeah we have a lot of those around here but with very little money coming in even with discounts I can't afford to go anywhere. Just part of life. [emeraldisle]
OMG! You have no idea. My wife and I have been married for over 5 years and we haven't been on a vacation once. We don't have the money to go anywhere. We can't take a break from the kids because we have no family to watch them and we don't have the money to pay someone to watch them. Now that school is out, it makes me want a vacation even more. I haven't had a big vacation since 1994, so am long overdue. Unfortunately, there's no way I can manage one anytime soon. I have had a couple of mini-getaways, since then, but just when I start to unwind, it's time to head back home. We do spend several weeks out of the year, visiting my sister's, and since we're very close, that's always enjoyable. We have a week together coming up in July. Enjoy your time off.:) [someonesmom]

I am overdue for a vaction. I would love to take one soon. heck I will even be happy to take one with my whole family. As I can't remember the last time I evenhad a vaction with my whole family. maybe I can talk hubby to going to the beach for a few hours this weekend.. But I highly doubt it. I AM!! I leave for vacation June 24, come back July 1, then we leave again July 8 and come back July 15. No INTERNET though!! I will be having mylot withdrawls. I had a vacation last summer to Disney and to the beach. I feel really ready for another, but today was a rough day, so maybe that had something to do with it?! [4cuteboys]

I've been ready for one for awhile, working my socks off at work and then I come home trying to manage my sites and enjoy some good time here on mylot. It's just crazy, But I can't wait only 3 months away and it's going to rock with my son being able to walk! rooootttt!! ~Joey [joey_matthews]

I am ready for a long vacation. I haven't had a vacation for three years. I am puppy sitting for my daughter while they are on vacation and I am car watching while my brother is on vacation. I just take care of everything so everyone else can go on vacation. lol [OURDEW]
I like to take short vacations, but often. I take my time on weekends and get away for 2-3 days...long vacations are not for me...I am like small animals, I like to work hard and play hard...and I get easy tired...so, I have to release my tension often... [polachicago]
We were planning a vacation these coming July school holidays, but I found out two days ago that my husband can't get leave fro work. We were going to go to Penneshaw, on Kangaroo Island. I am quite disappointed. I did have a 6 day vacation in January, so I can't complain too much. [jennybianca]
Vacation? What is that? I have not had a vacation in many years, 1996 I think was the last one and not even one I cared to go on not my idea of a vacation anyway. We didn't even have a honeymoon to speak of that has been 37 years ago. I am tired, burned out and a vacation is needed but something not in my future at least for now. [Celanith]
