Humorous But Polite Warning To Hotel Guests

No business is not affected by the economic downturn and the hotels down my place have been placing notices in their rooms to warn guests of their concern maybe to cut cost and avoid their properties being damaged or items stolen from the rooms. This humorous notice was recently put up in a hotel room which says 'Dogs are permitted because we never had a dog who smoked in bed and burned up the sheets. Never had a Dog who stole the towels. Never had a dog who got drunk and caused a ruckus. So if your dog can vouch for you, you're WELCOME.' Normally pets are not allowed in hotels but I am thinking of bringing my pet dog for a threat staying in the hotel and let the management swallow their words.lol. Have you found any humorous words in anywhere that you go?

zandi, i don't go anywhere to see anything. i go to the grocery, dollar store, wal-mart once in a blue noom & that's about it. i'm a stay at home, not much to do around here, [ANTIQUELADY]
thank you i think. that was a compliment i hope. lol [ANTIQUELADY]

Hey zandi! You know you should bring your dog and make them stand by their words or eat them! lol That sure would serve them right for being funny and sarcastic! What is this world coming to these days? No one can be trusted with anything anywhere! It is really a sad thing to believe that no one believes in anyone! Bring the dog and let me know if he was welcome! [Opal26]
I thought of bringing my pet dog, a terrier named LALA, one of these days and see what their reaction is. But she can be mistaken for a cuddly toy. [zandi458]

The quote is really humourous and funnylol and I think it conveys to the customers, what is hidden between the lines. I also feel that this kind of notice(s) are required for some dishonest customers, who do not mind pocketing the goods from any hotel. It is not a bad idea to take your pet dog to the hotel, but I feel that they would only allow your dog to stay in the room, if the strictly go as per the notice.........LOL! In India, some people (read men) do not mind pissing of at open spaces like wall of building. I once read a notice - which said - "Look a donkey is pissing of". I think, this notice would have done the trick and people would have thought twice before pissing off near that wall.lol [dpk262006]
I completely agree with you.happy [dpk262006]

lolthat was hilarious.so sad i donot have any pets but i think my kids are eligible for the post.i once saw beside a swimming pool.'manners are appreciated, dogs not allowed' [riyasam]
Yes, pets are normally not welcomed in hotels or public places but this is only the management way of telling guest in a very polite way. [zandi458]

we did not have dog,but we heared some great words from the management because w ecomplained something and instaed of saying apologized but they meant different but the was a long time.anyway in germany if you want a vacation sure the dogs are not allowed in hotel but now the latest there is hotel for animals, you can put your nimal as long as you like.they even have passportlolrolleyes. [bombshell]
LOL it news to me that dogs are given due respect too as their master. [zandi458]

I think that is really nice, a nice humorous way of putting up notices. I saw a notice once... I can't quite remember the exact wording, but it went something like this... 'If you have a problem with your eyesight, please wear your glasses and don't take ours' There was a picture of a man with a [drinking glass] over each eye. :-) Derek [derek_a]
LOL this is cute. [zandi458]

This past weekend my hubby and I stayed in a hotel and on the mirror a sign that read "Please don't steal our towels, we inventory every single one, even the hand towels, So if you steal, We will CHARGE it! Anything Stolen from this room will be charged to your credit card." I just started laughing. I've never even taken the little soaps and shampoos home! [22angel22]
I have this weird experience too when I was staying in one hotel and the housekeeper found an extra towel in my room and reported it to the management. When I checked out I was charged extra due to the extra towel found in the room. I was surprise how the towel was there in the first place and why I was charged when there is extra towel. I remember a couple years ago when I stayed at a hotel here in town (I live in Las Vegas) when there was a little placard in the room from the maid service that said something like "in order to save water we will only change the sheets in your room every three days during your stay." (They change the sheets between customers but many people stay for at least a few days the maid service won't change your sheets unless you specifically ask them to... they will just clean the room and make the bed with the same sheets you used the night before). I thought this was really funny, but it kind of makes sense... it saves water and detergent... lol. XOXO [busibee]
The management is quite smart. It save them a lot of washing and water. [zandi458]

Brilliant! I work in an hotel and that would suit us just fine. We do not allow dogs or any animals at all but, just as the notice suggests, we do allow their owners and it's them that cause all the bother. I have seen lots of signs but for the life of me I can't remember them. The only one that comes to mind is one I saw for a toilet while in London some time ago. It was on sale and would have been so apt in any bathroom frequented my the males of our species. It read "We aim to please, please aim to" whistle [mysdianait]
There are some that leave more damage behind them than the amount of the bill they pay for staying the night. Where I work we have 'blacklist' with names of previous guests who brole things in their rooms and never mentioned it. If they choose to go elsewhre next time they will not be missed. Got it? [mysdianait]

I have seen this some hwere before Just dont know where probably some motel we have stayed in and we wouldnt stay in one where we couldnt have our dogs with us! [Lakota12]
FOr sure as they are a part of the family! [Lakota12]

I think this really is funny, and it might tell a little about the economical situation in the country, but it's also an indicator of someone's sense of good humor. It's quite a snyde way of telling people what's expected and not, from them, and to remind them of how wicked people can be. cool I think you probably won't get away with taking your pet, but it would be interesting to find out! glare I always liked the poster behind the cashiers, that says "In God we trust, all others pay cash." There was a HUGE billboard on the Florida Parkway that read "KEEP FLORIDA GREEN, BRING CASH." lol [mechanicNOT62]
That's a cute and even pretty sign at the park, wink but unfortunately I don't agree with you about the word "GOD"... sadly, I often hear it misused and abused. thumbdown Shouldn't be that way. [mechanicNOT62]

Hello my friend zandi458 Ji, First of all congretulations on reachin to such wonderful figure of 2900. Next I would bring you from : http://www.retinascope.co.uk/humorous_words.html Following and for more to Log-in , "I spent a day in Melton Mowbray, a small market town in the English Midlands, and took 4 of these photographs whilst there. What fun I had in taking them. Within 5 minutes of parking my car I spotted, A Rank Outsider. A few minutes later the bike had gone, proving once again that most outside humour is all a question of luck and observation of everything that may not look very interesting at first glance. The photographer must teach himself to look again and again and to think about what is in front of his camera lens continually. How boring a simple Boots the chemist advert may seem, but put two together as I found in the town centre and humour is created. A few hours later I wandered into the local Council Office's transport section and found, The Driving Test! I have since wondered if the driver that pushed that sign over ever passed his driving test. Probably not!...." May god bless you and have great time. [maygodblessu44]
Hello my friend zandi458 Ji, Well, s nice of you. I can only say that you owe a wonderful personality. May God bless you and have great time. [maygodblessu44]

Hmm... that is like so sacarstic! And no one complains about feeling insulted at being compared to a dog? Interesting! lol [ahgong]
Yeah, and given a choice, I would not go to that "ANIMAL" hotel. I pay good money to feel good when staying at a hotel. Why pay money and be insulted, be it tongue in cheek or not? lol [ahgong]

that is so sweet, lol and how true? of course it is people who cause the trouble but also people who pay the bill, lol [ESKARENA1]
