Since I'm a science fiction fan and love movies like the Star Trek and Star Wars...I sometimes wish I really could travel in space and go to distance galaxies far, far away. But gee, the way our technology is it doesn't look like we'll be ready to hop in a Millenium Falcon or board the
Enterprise none too soon....still...one can dream right...
But say we did have the technology to do so...would you travel into space and maybe go and visit the Andromeda galaxy for instance? It's only 2.5 million light years away--LOL

I'd love to "boldly go" even tho I'm a BIG coward! But to see other worlds! I'd love it! [ElicBxn]
well, most of us are cowards but for sure, we don't wanna miss the opportunity of going somewhere and being in space. it will be a great moment for most of us. wonder how much the space travel will cost us. hehe. [maryannemax]
I am ready to fly today...right now...I am all pack...hmm...I want to take my babies with me...they will love it...can you imagine space dogs walk?..or cat..burr...(?) how about living on space station with some people and animals...traveling from star to star...and comeback 100 years younger..ha, ha.... [polachicago]
cat is too independent for traveling cage...(I can hear that cry)... they may like to be in space... I would have to take my kitten favorite chair with...she thinks that it belongs to her only.... [polachicago]
if it became safer to do so,sure i'd love to. it would be cool to check out new worlds and nebula/galaxies. i just hope they'd also have the space version of triple A. breaking down in the middle of nowhere would really suck then if they didn't. [scarlet_woman]
Hehehe--that's a good point..the movies never really show "problems" of crafts breaking down--although remember--the Millenium Falcon was always having problems and called a hunk of junk---LOL--yes so a Triple A for spacecraft would help--LOL [pyewacket]
Let me know when they put up a Holiday Inn there. Then I'll consider it. OK, maybe I'll spend a summer on Mars first. Venus and Mercury are out. Maybe a flyby, but I'm not landing on those -- or the sun. And I am sure Jupiter and Saturn would crush me. Maybe a five-star hotel that orbits Saturn, just a little further off and at a slight angle off the rings. That view would be out of this world ... [Qaeyious]
Saturn would definitely be a great sight to see close up!! Such a beautiful planet with all those rings [pyewacket]
I would love to see space, just once. Doesn't even have to be a long trip just to see earth from space once would be so cool. I would definately go for a hop in the Enterprise or the Millenium Falcon, after a complete tune up that is...:} [sumofalltears]
Long, long time ago, there was one "exotic" travel company that was going to start offering trips on the Space Shuttle..uh, before the first Challenger disaster that is..so naturally they pulled that plan off the market..but then our space technology is primitive compared to what you see in movies [pyewacket]
If it was possible, I would love to travel into space. Although I'm not that big of a Sci-Fi fan. I think it would be an awesome experience to travel to see distant planets, maybe even far away galaxies. Maybe one day we'll be able to do such. [jeweledbluerose]
Seeing far away galaxies would be fantastic---we would need the capability of traveling at warp speed though to compensate for the time factor... A friend of mine...a trekkie told me once what the warps speeds represented Warp I=speed of light (c=186,000 miles per second) Warp II =speed of light x2=372,000 miles per second) and so forth Mmmm...don't think we can quite do that yet...bummer [pyewacket]
There are days that I would love to go far far away.lol. But I don't think I would ever go into outer space. I'm a big chicken. But I will look at pictures if you get any when you go.lol. [brendalee]
Okay--I'll be sure to take my camera with me...LOL [pyewacket]
I guess our human body is not created for such technology. Only spirits creation could do that without need of any technology its their nature traveling form heaven to earth in an lightning speed. So if we designed not for that purpose then I'm simply enjoy of what my body can travel besides God knows we can be satisfied with it. [abednego7]
But of if it were possible --would you like to travel into space? [pyewacket]
Given the chance, I would love to travel into space even for just a day. It would be so exciting to see what's the other planets look like. Sometimes, I kept wondering if there is indeed life outside the earth. Still, as I look at the pictures of our galaxy, I can't help but think that it look so sad and empty. I prefer to see more lively scenery around me. [charms88]
I read somewhere before that there is indeed another form of life outside the earth. It didn't specify clearly the name of the planet. Everything is just hearsay. [charms88]
I would jump at the chance in a heartbeat. I would love to travel into space. I am a sciebce fiction junkie and grew up believing we would be out there by now. It's hard to believe we still aren't. I wouldn't really care where, anywhere they suggested would be fine with me, but Risa might be my first choice! [Woodpigeon]
I know...if you were to compare the space technology that you see in the movies with the reality of what we really have, we're still at the first rocket to the moon stage--pitiful [pyewacket]
for sure! that is one thing i wanna do if ever space travel is true. although in movies it's kinda scary due to some possibilities of having a bad luck, i still wanna try it and hopefully with people i treasure the most. [maryannemax]
Well lets hope they invent something real soon...before we get too old!!! LOL [pyewacket]
don't count me in - space travel is for the tv sci fi buffs. i have watched captain kirk and his successors travel over the years and it does not appeal to me. [DIDDYDEE]
Sorry to hear that...oh, well [pyewacket]
As excting as it sounds, I'm not sure I would..... I don't think I'd like the feel of space travel, the weightlessness, and a lot of other things. Let me try a space simulator first. Although if I could get space images I think it would make for an awesome photo opportunity. Mooch [oneandonemakesix]
Well I think they would have the weightlessness factor solved...at least it always looks that way in the movies--LOL--Oh yes what a photo opportunity it would be [pyewacket]
Yes, I'd love to go. So long as they work out how to go at a million warp speed so that andromeda is just two and a half years away. That is still a loooong time to be locked in a box. [smacksman]
Well I'm thinking in more the terms of the kind of craft you see in the movies which is hardly a box---and yes the warp speed is a factor...supposedly in the "science" of things one theorectically can't travel faster than the speed of light...darn-- [pyewacket]
I would never consider it, or do it. I am not a pioneer. I want to stay right here where I am. [margieanneart]
Awwww----chicken---LOL [pyewacket]
I have always been interested in astronomer, and am also a big fan of SCI-Fi, so yeah I would love to travel into space if it were possible and safe... [iknowitall]
I'm a great astronomy buff too...in fact wanted to be an astronomer when I was a kid [pyewacket]
Lol no I would not I like my feet on the Ground also imagine floating about oh no thanks Not just that I mean I might float away and get lost No I will stay down here lol [gabs8513]
Yep you are right there why do you think she prefers to stay on the Ground now lol [gabs8513]
I would totally love to explore outer space. Sadly, it does not seem that this capability will ever exist in my lifetime or my daughters. It is an adventure which can only be imagined at this point. cheers, [golfproo]
Well there's nothing wrong with imagination now...is there?? [pyewacket]
So when do we take off? Im ready and I think it would fasinating to go.Just as long as I return to home safely.I think all systems are a go! [TerryZ]
Mmmmm...I'm ready when you are TerryZ...lets go------------> [pyewacket]
How long would we be in space travel? Would we die in space and never reach our destination? Would it be like sitting in a 747 jet that goes into space? If it were possible maybe there is a gym we could go to. Maybe by then space flight will be such that there will be gravity in the space ship and we will not be weightless, unless we go to a special room just for that purpose and have fun. Maybe the flight would only be days or weeks, and we would have so much fun we wouldn't even mind the trip! I might think about going. Just hope to don't burn up during re-entry! [charlene2350]
Wouldn't it be great! :) have a great day friend! [charlene2350]
I don't think i would like traveling into space on bit! I would be way to scared, and I would constantly remind myself of all the bad things that could happen while flying around in space. I'll be very happy just staying right here on planet earth! lol [LilyoftheThorns]
Mmmmm..bad things can happen while driving in a car--LOL [pyewacket]
If it were possible I'd be in space right now. I've always wanted to do such things. I loved growing up and watching Star Trek, Star Wars..even the Jetsons and thinking that when I was an adult I could go into space. Well it's not but I can still dream and wonder what it would be like. [emeraldisle]
I've never actually flown. I've been on a train, several variety of ships, I was even in a covered wagon once but I have never flown. I'd love to though. Maybe some day in the future. Yes I know what scene you are talking about. I like that whole section actually. I'd love to do smoething like that. It would be fun. [emeraldisle]
I wont try... Scary! ..Im afraid I can't go back... [gorgeousbevs]
I definitely would love to go into space and see what else is out there. I think it would be a neat and exciting experience and interesting. I have always been curious to see what is out there in the galaxy. I doubt any or many of us will ever get to explore outer space. It is also very dangerous going into space. [kgwat70]
Sad but true....the kind of space travel we see in movies won't be in our lifetime [pyewacket]
I would definitely...but fact is that who wouldn`t.....Everyone is ancxiuos to explore whats beyond this solar system....I am very curious to explore so i want to travel [swaraj_dv]
mmm..another space cadet like me--LOL---so when do we go?? hehe [pyewacket]
yeah sounds good idea going out of our own planets and meet other aliens other than our own. Or yet we start building our own colonies in other planets and make it habitable. That sounds chellenging. With our current technology I think it would take us some time before these dreams can be realized. Only in computer games does this happen where space travel can be played and be done. [rsa101]
I just hope comes the time we are capable of travel like that and colonize other planets, that we don't louse up those environments the way we've loused up our own planet [pyewacket]
Part of me wants to say yes and the other part of me says no. I am scared of flying much less being in space. If they were to tell me I had to go up to space to save a very dear friend of family member, then I would be there in a heartbeat. Other than that, they couldn't pay me enough to go up. [dcroome2005]
Don't know why that double posted [pyewacket]
I might go somewhere closer to earth, nothing too far. I would first explore our own galaxy, that should be enough for my lifetime. [LittleMel]
hahah it is far enough :) [LittleMel]
That depends! It's your discussion, so would i be able to come back? LOL! I think i would love it, i'm always wondering whats out there, who's out there, how vast is space? I guess i would like to see for myself, as long as i can come back! Take care Pyewacket. [budsr03]
Why of course you could come back!! [pyewacket]
Yes I believe I would. As long as it was perfectly safe that is LOL. I think it would be fascinating! I would prefer lodgings such as The Enterprise though other than those of the Millennium Falcon and such. :) [GnosticGoddess]
Oh I agree :) The Enterprise had some speed too though to be so big :) [GnosticGoddess]
Even at 10 times the speed of light, it would take 250,000 years to get there, or longer since that galaxy might be moving away from us. So the way to travel is using some quantum physic related method. Or perhaps in some spiritual plane. But why go to Andromeda? There are billions of planets and stars in our own galaxy. Start there, if you will..lol. It might be interesting to imagine space travel, but as a species or people, we on this planet are not ready for space travel. It involves a certain level of development of humanity to justify traveling to other planets. In my belief, that is. We are still far to barbaric to accept the responsibility of space travel. [sigma77]
Even if we were somehow about to accomplish true space travel anyway, even the far reaches of our own galaxy and we discovered life forms, knowing mankind's track record we'd want to study it, analyze it and conquer it [pyewacket]
I think I would love to travel through space and see whats really out there. The big problem for me would be getting off of the ground because I'm afraid of heights. I think once we broke through the atmosphere I think would be fine. Take care, Terry [twils2]
I like watching Star Trek, but I would not want to go. I'm afraid of heights and planes. I have never flown in a plane yet. So I guess I'll never see Paris or Ireland. Let alone Outer space. [irishmist]
Well "Lucy"--if you take enough of Vitameatavegamin you won't feel a thing...LOL [pyewacket]
In star trek even they can't go that far...sigh... [pauloahorro]
Well, I don't know about space travel, pyewacket. You see, I still have not conquered airplane travel. I'm sort of like the character, B.A. Barrakas, on the old tv series The A-Team. You might be able to get me on a plane, but you would most certainly have to knock me out cold beforehand. I have always had a fear of heights. I get dizzy just standing on a chair. I live on the 5th floor in my building, and it is very hard for me to look over the balcony on the few occasions that I go out there. I guess you could call me a wimp, LOL. [worldwise1]
No you're not a wimp...hehe...flying never bothered me for some reason when I used to...but like you can't stand heights....no problem standing on a chair...but get me up on a ladder and yeesh....just don't feel comfortable [pyewacket]
