what are some good spots in europe? Like a place you can really recommend. [ninadocallos]
It depends on what you like in a vacation. If you want adventure, I recommend Cozumel, Mexico. If you want luxury and to be pampered, I recommend Cancun. Hawaii is also a beautiful, scenic choice. If you want to come to America, I hear that San Diego is lovely. Las Vegas has a lot of action and gambling, if you're into that. I don't know how much money your dad is willing to spend. With you being from the Philippines, I just decided to mentioned places on the west side of the USA. Anyway, it depends on your personality, what you like to do, and what you want in a vacation. If you are looking for the best travel rates, pm me, if you want to do so. [bizzyman]
How much would you think it will cost of i go to the states? Let's say for example in California or Vegas? I heard Florida is really nice too. And is it through that its cheaper in Florida? [ninadocallos]
No bias here...but I'd suggest the USA. How many months do you have to spend on your vacation? It really depends on what your interests are. Do you like monuments, museums, galleries, etc. Then what about Washington, D.C.? Do you like city life, shows, etc., then what about New York City or Las Vegas? Do you like to hike, camp, walk, etc., then what about one or more of America's National Parks (Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Glacier, etc.) and Monuments (Death Valley, Devil's Tower, etc.). Do you like the beach (California or Florida)? Do you like the mountains (Colorado or Wyoming)? If you want more suggestions, just let me know. I've got plenty... [hofferp]
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I saw all the other posts for Malaysia, Europe, etc., I didn't look back at my own post. I usually think of the East Coast (New York, Massachusetts, Virginia, etc.) when I think of museums and monuments, and while I've been to many on the East Coast, I still prefer the "wild" West, where you can hike, whitewater raft, boat, camp, etc. Don't get me wrong, the West has it's monuments, galleries, museums, etc. too, but being outdoors is where you want to be. I can't even give you my favorite western state, because they all have so many neat things to see and do. How long do you have? Will anyone be traveling with you? Do you drive? That will help me help you in determining what would be cool... [hofferp]
I would suggest you visit Malaysia. It is a really beautiful country with some lovely beaches, interesting temples and friendly people. It has many historical buildings. You might be able to fit in a visit to Singapore as well. Another superb destination would be Hong Kong. Wherever you go I hope that you will have an excellent time. My first traveling experience outside my country was to France when I was a child. In my teenage years I went to other countries in Europe like Finland, Tunisia in North Africa and St Lucia in the Caribbean. My daughter will be going on her first trip this year and she will be going to Canada. During my pregnancy with her my toddler son and I visited South Africa. [maximax8]
hongkong?????? i dont think it worth visiting unless you like traveling among the modern city, which are almost the same all over the world [nkthanksalot]
A lot is going to depend on how independent you are. If you like more organized tours I would suggest Europe. You don't have to go as part of a tour but there are always tours available for sightseeing everywhere. Spend the day with the group then go your own way. If you like the idea of being really independent you should try Australia. There you will have to do a lot more arranging of things on your own. [brynnesmom]
Speaking of being independent, i will be traveling alone, so im a little scared. My dad can't join me because he's in Thailand right now doing some business matters. And my mom hates to travel because she has a lot going on her business here as well. [ninadocallos]
Try South Africa - you will love it. And it is not so expensive as Europe and the USA. The garden route is magnificent and you will love Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. Also a big 5 Game reserve near Port Elizabeth. [henniesaunders]
Yes, it is one of the official languages. Most people speak it. [henniesaunders]
hi! as I see you are from the philippines and I think you should go to some really different country, not some in Asia, if you have money enough, so that you can see the other way of living. it will be good to come here in Europe or somewhere in South America or Africa, because the life there is radical different than the life in Asia. I will recommend you Peru in South America, Kenia in Africa and of course my country Bulgaria in Europe! I will wait for you rasp [phoenix8606]
well, there are many lovely places here, we also have a sea and it is pretty warm during the summer, but there are also many mountains and many many other places with historical and touristic meaning! [phoenix8606]
