Pro's Free for All Weekend!!!!
*[Insert fanfare and "thank god its Friday music here]*
And I forgot to do this last week.... Coming to you semi-live with talent on loan from loose plywood! Yep, definitely scraping the bottom of the talent barrel this time!
Welcome to the thread. For those of you that are veterans at this you know how the thread works, but I still explain it for people who don't know. During the week I usually talk about and very rarely hold discussions on what I want to talk about. Usually with some not so stellar results. Plus other discussions can just get mylotters wound up. Hence the free-for-all weekend.
You post about your week, your weekend, anything special going on if you want to share. You can also post humorous inserts but they can be hijacked by me at any time! :D
Basically come here, unwind and have fun. But if you post anything that bores me, my friends or my fans, I'll hijack your response. And by hijack its in a jovial way, nothing bad will happen to you so don't worry. Remember this is all supposed to be for fun and relaxation.
Now to my story for this week. I know I've been saying how others think I should take a vacation. Well, unfortunately for me I've had to push it back till after mid-November. A lot of things are coming up and my attendance is definitely required. Especially if an "oops" or a "OMG!!! HELP!!!!!" situation arises at my main workplace. And they happen, I mean more than have of it is technology, and Murphy's Law does apply. Especially if something crucial is around the corner or at stake. It's alright though since I do like the work, but every does want me to take five sometime soon. I think I'll take a week off before thanksgiving and the working parts of thanksgiving week. Don't know if that's much, but I have not taken a full vacation at all this year. Just an expanded weekend and that was for a family reunion.
And with that you also have something else to post on in this thread. Any ideas or vacation ideas you want to recommend go ahead and shoot. I probably can't make any trips, even short range ones, but I'm always glad to see your ideas for vacations.
Okay, post what you will
Happy posting, and have a great weekend!

Hiya Gamer!! Well Im happy to hear that you are going to be taking some time off, rest that brain of yours! If I had the option of taking some time off, I would definately take a visit to a spa! Let them pamper me from head to toe and just do my best to forget about life in general! They have a great place in Hot Springs, Arkansas, they actually have natural hot springs where you can soak and melt away to where ever your imagination takes you. Next, get your body plastered in some rejuvinating mud and wrapped up like a mummy! Then your every care and worry massaged away by some very skilled hands......Aaaah!! lol Ive been feeling creative and I was thinking I would try to release some of this creativity this weekend. My hand has been itching to do some drawing, so I think Im going to dig out my sketch book and my drawing pencils and have a go at it. Of course, hubby's racing, Saturday for sure, we are not sure about Sunday yet. He mentioned us going to dinner and doing something together, which sounds really nice, but not betting on it. Thats life! Thats about it for me! I hope you enjoy your weekend, and as always its been a pleasure to participate in your free for all weekend thread! Bay Lay Gray xx [BayleighGray]
Thanks Gamer, I know I can count on myLot to keep me company at any time I need it! hehe I might share, that is if I can find a way to protect it from being used elsewhere. I dont have any way of putting a watermark on it or anything, Ive heard thats costly. Perhaps I could apply something during scanning, nothing permanent that will ruin my work. We will see! :) http://www.hotsprings.org/things_to_do/ Heres a link for you to check out, they have many things to do here. Camping, amusement parks, golf....all kinds of things. At the bottom of that page is a virtual tour link. Bay xx [BayleighGray]
well nothing all that too exciting is happening this week or the next, just the usual mom stuff, but both my boys are getting there birthday pictures done today (one was august and the other was this month) so I'm happy about that. and of course Halloween is around the corner so my youngest is going out for the first time, and it's his first time going with his big brother so they are happy about that. But next month I'm going on vacation again for thanksgiving. sorry if this is sorta boring like I said nothing too exciting here. well glad you get to go on vacation even though it is for a short while, sorry I don't have any ideal places for you to consider. [workenmom]
thanks gamer, and well they had there pictures done, and Austin my 1 year old would not smile at all, it's weird because he's a ham for the camera. Rj my oldest would smile but before she could take the picture he'd stick out his tongue or look away. but we did get some great photos. also sense I want to be a photographer, she's going to take me on her next shoot, so I can see how it's done, and possibly take a few of my own. I did read a few of your other discussion, they are a little boring but interesting. anyway thanks for posting. [workenmom]
It would be helpful if I knew what state you lived in. I know all the hot spots Pro. [kiobug]
Yea Kio. And attribute it to my stubbornness not to reveal that. You can just take shots in the dark though :D [theprogamer]
hello theprogamer well my weekend has already started and it started this afternoon around five o'clock p.m. and my brother and i took my kids to the yearly Fall Festival that is held at the school where my children go. this year made our fifth year that we have attended the Fall Festival. the kids look forward to it a month ahead of time. each teachers room in the school this afternoon had a different activity for the kids to do. they also sell food and drinks in the lunch room and they had chocolate covered pretzels in the library. one of the teachers tonight was selling funnel cakes out of her room and she had a thirty minute wait for them. then each year they always have a silent auction going on. and they also have different things to win, like a gift basket or a decorated pumpkin or something like that. but it is always fun to attend the Fall Festival at the school each year. it has gotten alot cooler outside now, and tomorrow i need to take the kids shopping and get them some new long pants that meet the requirements of the "new dress code" this year. our school system in Nashville, Tennessee went to uniforms this year and what a pain it is trying to go shopping for the correct clothes that the kids are allowed to wear this year to school. i heard that Old Navy and Wal-Mart are a couple of places that had the right clothes in stock. and i also need to go shopping for the things that i need for my last cake decorating class for next Tuesday night that i am going to need. which is only to look for some new food paste colors. we are going to do a cake next week that has roses on it and i think that i have decided to go with peach and orange roses because it is the fall of the year here. i have changed my mind now about the color for the roses about ten times. lol. but Tuesday night is the last night for Course 1 and i am planning on attending Course 2 for the month of November. :) then on Sunday will be laundry day and stuff like that making sure everybody in the family is ready for Monday morning to roll around again. and i need to also go out to the grocery store and stock up the stuff for the kids' lunches coming up for the week as well. oh and did i forget to mention, that tomorrow afternoon, the children are invited to a Halloween party at the neighbors down the road. Cora, has a Halloween party every year just for all of the neighborhood kids. :) she is such a sweet lady, she grills out hamburgers and hot dogs for them, has chips and drinks and then she has Halloween candy for them. last year they bobbed for apples at her party. lol. have a beautiful weekend! Yesterday i went and watched the play of my friend's son. Even i am not feeling well i still enjoyed the show. The play was good. They interpret the native visaya songs. Like " Pahaluka ko day" and " Usahay". and etc... They called the performing students as the "Performing Ambassadors". Its saturday morning in here. I am in the office. Not busy..After work, Going home and have some rest. And My father will prepare something for dinner. And he expecting me to go home early today. Happy posting and have a great weekend!:) [ciades]
I had to do some independent work on saturday and still have to finish up sunday. I'm glad you did go to the show though from last discussion. Again, I say don't strain yourself either, I hope you get some rest! [theprogamer]
Well < i'd recommend a short camping holiday on one of the less frequented beaches north of Coff's Harbour, south Of but including Yamba. There are pubs and clubs if you don't want to cook buit you must make the most of an evening campfire. If some can go with you who is musiucal so much the better, lots of beer or wine is in order too. Happy camping! [MsTickle]
I've had a very hectic last week (including weekend). We had 2 functions we had to attend (my sister's engagement and my husband's cousin's wedding). 2 kids in tow...travelling to our hometown and helping with all the preparations! I'm glad it's over though I had fun except for a cranky little one who didn't go to anyone:( But the older one had loads of fun and got to meet a lot of relatives he didn't even know existed (including a first cousin!!). We'll be doing this again in a month's time when my sister will be getting married. It was a good break from our daily routine though:) [SViswan]
