My aunt and her entire family just left on a vacation to Cuba for 2 weeks. My aunt is alone, but she has two daughters, who each of husbands and two children. They are all gone on vacation. It will be the first time any of them go on a vacation and the first time they all go together.
Have you ever went on a vacation with your whole family and if so where to and what was it like?

We used to go to Daytona Beach every year for summer vacation and there was anywhere from 5 to 7 cars of family members.. Each sister had her own family with her and we always took my mom also.. We had the best fun making the trip and talking back and forth with walkie-talkies, every car had at least one of them.. There were so many "pit stops" that we took about 2 extra hours to get there.. We would play trivia games, tell jokes, and reminisce over the walkie talkies.. Then we had a full week to put up with each other.. Usually there were at least 2 of the families on each floor of the hotel and we all met at the pool to swim, or we walked on the beach and played in the ocean together.. Most vacations, two of my sisters and me played penny poker for the entire week, usually the winner came home with an extra $4.00 or so.. Some might want to stay in, while others wanted to get out and go.. So everyone had a great time and time for each other.. It was so much fun and made for a lot of vacation videos.. But now my mom is gone, most of the sisters don't talk to each other and gas it too high to go that far.. Oh well, I do have my memories.. [DonnaLawson]
you had such a good time so sorry to hear that it ended when you mom passed on, it is almost like my family, when my grandmother died, that side of the family didn't see me as their family anymore. [winterose]
we were on the road going from one job to find another one but I call it a vaction for we went to the Garden of the Gods Cave of teh winds and then around Pikes Peak to Criple Creek and old mining town And huby and I got up early and got to pet the wild donkeys that roam the streets. Then we went on to New MExico signed the book s then back to Tenn for a few months but that was the best vacation we all went on [Lakota12]

As you know I went to NY with my family and it wasn't fun at all. My daughter and I had to take turns sitting in the back of the Explorer.. and that wasn't' good at all. I needed a can opener to get me out of there!w00t [OreoCookie3]
Nope I don't think I would have liked that experience either. [winterose]

hey that is where I live, in Montreal. [winterose]
Wow!lolCuba sounds as thogh it would be a fasinating place to visit for 2 weeks. Yes, I have been on vacation with my whole family and it was a headache in the making, because all we heard was complaints about this and that from different members of the family. No one seemed to enjoy themselves until we got where we was going or stopped for the night being coped up and squished in a vechicle is not my idea of fun. But I hope your aunt enjoys herself and spending time with her family. [mtdewgurl74]
I am sure they will, cuba is a beautiful island. [winterose]
Yes we often go on holiday as a family. We usually go with my daughter, her husband and four children. We all get on very well and always have a great holiday together. Sometimes we go to Europe but last year we stopped in the UK and went down to Cornwall. [austinbell]
Sounds like a wonderful time. [winterose]
Oh yes- I love taking family vacations- Especially with my parents and my brother and family. They are the most fun! I don't see my brother and family as often as I wish I could- He is in the Army--- so our vacations are wonderful- we catch up on everything- and the kids love to be together :) I also camp each year with 2 cousins and their families- I think doing things with your family is super fun! oh yes I agree with you, get as much vacations in with your family as you possible can. [winterose]
I have gone on vacation with my whole family when my dad was living. We used to go to a place called Beach Bend Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. We used to stay for 3 days or so. My dad used to pull our camper behind us als and we would camp at the park. the park had amusement rides, games to play, wild animals to see and feed and a race track. My grandma used to go with us also. My aunt and uncle would go sometimes too. There was always me, mom, dad and my three sisters also. My cousins would go sometimes too and that made it more fun because we were young kids. [stephcjh]
my family is not close to each other and so it never would happen that all of us would be together at one time, when I was a child, I hated having to split myself between the two sides. [winterose]
yes we all went on vacation in queensland and it was a disaster.my sister is a control freak and had to have the last say in everything, she drove me and my mum nuts, never again.lolcheers sue [suehan1]
sounds like my mom, I wouldn't like that either, now I am very careful about whom I vacation with for those very reasons. [winterose]
