does anyone else think tom cruise is a brilliant actor? i saw him in Cocktails when he was young, it was really good. and he's lovely.

I'm sorry but I disagree with you. I think he's a director's actor. Always doing what the director tells me but never adding anything of his own. I think he's a pretty boy actor. He gets these roles because of his looks, not his talents. I will actually not see a movie if he is the star role. Plus with his antics and behaviors lately, he doesn't need my money. [nicolec]

He is indeed a great actor, one of his best roles for me would be Minority report, amazing movie! The role I didn't like that much, but it hasn't got to do with him playing it or not (cause he plays fine), is mission impossible. But I've had to admit that the latest one is the best so far :). The movie I liked the most of Tom Cruise was Magnolia. The role allowed him to act. Besides it was a terrific movie. Rain man and Jerry Maguire are also very good movies of Tom Cruise. Regards [astroo13]
Tom Cruise is neither my most favorite actor nor do I think he is the greatest either. However, he has exhibited some solid performances in some pretty decent films. Some of his roles that I enjoyed watching would include The Minority Report, Jerry Maguire, The Last Samurai and A Few Good Men. Though he originally gained fame through his good looks, (remember, Risky Business and Top Gun? He was gorgeous on those movies.) through time, he has improved his talents and has honed his craft. Unfortunately, his personal life lately has been hitting the headlines casting him in a very unflattering light. I hope he gets his act together and continue to choose good roles and make quality movies. [wayz12]
