Tom Hanks movies are more interesting than Tom Cruise movies.. Especially Forrest Gump and Cast Away.. Although I do like Top Gun but as actors Tom hanks beats Tom cruise in my books.

I guess I'd have to say Tom Hanks before Tom Cruise. There's just something...off about him - and I can't place it. I'm not sure what it is. Tom Hanks is at least a more.. relatable guy (if that's a word). I like him You've Got Mail happy [maezee]
i have never watched any of tom hanks movies i just dont know why yet they are available in the library..and i dont like tom cruise either but i just like the way he acts and i have watched several of his movies..so i would go with cruise.. [deewinc]
I reccomend that you watch Cast Away, Saving Private Ryan and Forrest Gump. Those are classic movies that you have to watch!rasp [jellymonty]
I used to be a fan of both the Toms. However, I think they have both gone down hill in the recent years. I was a big fan of Hank's earlier stuff, like Big, The Burbs, and Turner and Hooch. I also love Top Gun. [amybrezik]
I lost interest in Tom Cruise when he became a scientoligist! But I do agree with you that they have lost their "it" factor.. well that really is the movies these days.. not as eye catching as they used to be glare [jellymonty]
My vote is Tom Hanks. I like Cruise movies fine. But Hanks is one of my favorites. He has been since Bosom Buddies. [ersmommy1]
Hello jellymonty, I much prefer Tom Hanks movies over Tom Cruise movies. Tom Hanks seemed more like a comedic actor but when he acted in Philadelphia I saw a serious actor.He proved he could play any type of role in the movies. [ds6413]
Tom or Tom? Well I think Tom Cruise is an excellent actor and I have great admiration for him playing alongside Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man. Not an easy part to play and he was outstanding as second fiddle. I think he is very watchable and definitely an 'A' list. However, Tom Hanks is someone rather extra special. I don't think I have seen him in a bad movie and he has that sort of charisma that makes you watch him regardless. I love Cast Away, where he mainly played it alone, but also Green Mile, Big and many more movies which just had me enthralled. Hanks for sure! [Scoop_Dogg]

Hi jellymonty , Without thinking TOM HANKS !! Better in acting and even better to see in cinema or Television. I do not really like Tom Cruise and I hated him more when I saw him on the Oprah Show he was very fake. I will go for Tom Hanks of course. I prefer Tom Hanks over Tom Cruise! I have seen some of Tom Cruise's movies and most of them I have seen or stupid like Far and Away or just did not like,Jerry McGuire! Rain Man is the only Tom Cruise movie I like. Tom Hanks is my favorite actor! I love him in Forrest Gump, Philadelphia,Apollo 13 and Saving Private Ryan! Tom Hanks has 2 Oscars and Cruise none! Tom hanks for me because firstly I love all his movies and his performance is too brilliant for me, he is an actor whom I prefer a lot especially in Forest Gump, I remember I had to lie to my grandpa saying that the tution will end a bit late while I was in the theatre to watch the movie with my two friends. Iwould have to say Tom Hanks as he has a much diverser collection of movies to his name. I honestly can't pick a film which features Hanks which I haven't enjoyed and particularly enjoy his early performances in the likes of "Big" and "Turner & Hooch". As for Tom Cruise, I like some of his stuff but not all of it. I really enjoyed his performances in "The Color of Money" and "Risky Business" but really didn't enjoy "Vanilla Sky" or "War of the Worlds". [thedailyclick]

i prefer Topm Hanks movies than Tom Cruise. He can be a great comedy or a serious actor. I started to be his fan when i watched his movie year 2000 directed by Robert Zemeckis. Since then, every time he have movies show in Cinema or even at HBO channel i can resist to watch it in full and i don't want long disturance while watching. [gracypure]
