Tom Cruise is a Scientologist and he wants to film part of a movie in Germany.
Scientogogy i
s not considered a religion in Germany but is called a 'sect'. It has been banned in Germany and they might not let him make his film.
I think the German Government is wrong. What do you think?

responses and comments:
I am in Germany. Scientology is here and the majority of the people see scientology as a threat. It would be nice if scientology would be banned in Germany. Yes, we do consider this a sect and of the evil kind. I think Tom Cruise should make his movie elsewhere. [Inky261]
Hi Inky: Thank you so much for adding your thoughts to this discussion. [TheSpy]
I don't think it's fair, no. I don't necessarily think Scientology is a positive thing and I have read some very negative stories. However, I think Tom Cruise is pretty harmless in the scheme of things and he should be able to make his movie. [JanuaryRain]
?????? Where have you gone???? [TheSpy]
its all depend , germany is saying that tom crusie is doing this as business. tom crusie is great actor, his movie will be super hit [madirajul]
Hi Madirajul: Thnnk you so much for adding your thoughts to this discussion. Germany will suffer because when a movie is filmed in a country a lot of money is spent there. [TheSpy]

Thanks Sam for adding your views to this discussion. [TheSpy]
I have no thought on the matter. The world is changing, cultures are changing. So,most likely he will pull it off. [margieanneart]
Hi Margie: I'm not so sure the German's are very strict. Thanks for adding your toughts to this discussion. Ivor [TheSpy]
I don't consider Scientilogy a religion. It sounds like a borderline cult to me. But from an economic viewpoint, I would let them film in my county, bring on all that money. [morgandrake]
Hi Morgan: I believe they are a cult as well. If I was the big cheese in the Canadian film industry I'd let them film here as well. Ivor [TheSpy]
I think Germany has the right to deny him. They need to stand firm in their beliefs against scientology. If they appear to support it more of their citizens may wish to join. I personally think scientology is questionable in many ways. There are many bizarre behaviors associated with it and I think Germany is right to ban it. Yes, having a movie made in their country may be a good thing economically but at what cost? By supporting the movie they would be supporting Tom Cruise and that would be viewed as supporting his beliefs. That isn't a positive thing and the moral cost would be far greater than the economical gain. [foxyfire33]
Hi Foxy Fire: Every country has the right to do what they want. Thanks for being part of this discussion. Ivor [TheSpy]
I think that I am glad to be a Canadian. The government in Germany has a long history of making bad choices. I didn't know Tom Cruise is a Scientologist. Did he ever get the permission to shot the film? Susan [susaneverson]
Hi Susan: He did and I understand it is almost finished. I saw a picture in the paper with him, his wife and Suri walking in a Berlin park the other day. Ivor [TheSpy]
well i believe each country has their own right on what to do,and how they want to handel things. [3lilangels]
Hi Lila: I do as well. Thank you so much for you telling me what you think. Ivor [TheSpy]
Hey Spy, I have to the last I heard that the release of this movie had been postponed and I can't remember the reason why however I think it has a lot to do with Tom Cruise, and I am wondering if his religious beliefs is having anything to do with it. I know it has a LOT of people angered about him playing the part in the film, and I think it shouldn't matter what he does or does not believe if he can play the part of a role, although I hear that he is really getting weird lately. Mooch [oneandonemakesix]
Mooch I heard he is wearing wedged high healswhen he goes out with his wife. I didn't know men could be that vain. [TheSpy]
