You can do a search in Yahoo or Google for the place that sounds interesting for you to visit if it were possible and there is all kinds of information and photos of those places. There are beginning to be photos on myLot of faraway places that you can take a little trip and still be right at home. You can take part in discussions about traveling to these places with your friends on myLot. I, personally am from the United States but I live in Nicaragua. I have photos under Costa Rica in my interests and I also have photos under volcanoes as an interest. There are also photos on my profile of places in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. I hope you enjoy sitting in your chair and visiting these beautiful places. Other people have photos of areas where they live also. [caribe]
Dear caribe, I am priviledged to meet you. Viewing those locales would be interesting but what hits my mind is, "Why does someone from usa lives in Nicaragua?" Do take me on a trip. Love, drashok [drashok]
Actually, just go to a huge message board system, such as mylot and hook up with people willing to tell of where they live. I have done this with: U.K., France, Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia. Also I am working on finding someone in signapore. It is a pretty fun thing to do. Just find someone and connect with them. [ryan444]
Ryan, wish you a fabulous New Year oo7. Your message board concept is appealing but I cannot figure out how to go about it. Guide me plz. drashok jan. 01, 2007 [drashok]
Chatting through yahoo and maybe myspace can help with that. There are alot of awesome people that you can get to know and build friendships to possibly go there and visit one day. Hope that was helpful to you. [JulietsMom777]
Here are some tips if your desire is to travel. 1. Start making global friends especially in the countries you want to visit. 2. Make sure you have the finance to travel comfortablly. Some countries are cheaper to holiday in and some will just burst any economy budget. 3. Go online to get as many info on all aspects of the travel so that you will be well prepared. 4. Make sure your passport is in order. [creationhub]
I believe that you are enough to ask for so that the people of the Mylot add you, and you also can choose those that you find that he will be a good friend and to try to know it [lulylove]
You have made a beginning here at Mylot making yourself available to meet people from many places world wide. Yahoo has groups and chat rooms that may interest you. There are many message boards online and chat rooms available for participation. As for traveling, you say health restricts this, but didn't explain how...so I can't really comment on that portion of your questions. [nobodyspecial]
chat rooms was the best response i read thats a great place to get started and things may take off but since its internet be cautious and remember the user may not be who he claims to be Good Luck Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays (Your choice ) [maddy37]
freind u havce places where u can fine really good freiends. in orkut.com, hi5.com [harivinod]
Travelling is good for health , take herbal medicines to stay fit and travel by trains. [motubhai]
try consulting ur doctor whenever ur visiting places...the weather changes do affect ppl so probably ur doctor can guide u wat precautions to take while travelling [meetsammy]
little money go around world. the hardest thing is your atittude and intelligent. walk or ride around, you 'll get lots friends in this journey. [myzone]
Well, you made a good choice by joining mylot. You are already getting good responses from friendly people who are giving good advice, & you will surely get a lot more. I have travelled to many places on a budget. My advice is to look up google for organisations like http://www.wwoof.org/ Costs just a few rupees to join, They have branches in nearly every country in the world. It works very simply. You decide where you want to go, make the contact, then go. You promise to supply your labour for free, for about 4 hours a day. They promise to give you free food and board in return. Of course, your main cost is the Air fair but if you really want to do it, then you can overcome that obstacle. [Freespirit]
Its very easy to make friends just try and stay out with people for more time, Catch your old friends and spend your time with them, you will meat many new people while you stay with your old friends. [humaaaa]
try watching discovery .. i assure u would enjoy watching travel n living show on discovery channel [gettokunal]
I used to travel a lot about 3 years ago, now I am restricted due to ill health, not so much the health really but the travel insurance would be more than the cost of travelling. I joined similar minded people on message boards which made me many friends from all over the world, just visulise yourself there. Good luck. [susanscs]
join communities of pictures like webshot! There you can interact with people from around the globe and can see their photos ! I think this may please you! [alitheheroic]
I appreciate your ambition to travel all over the world and make more and more friends. Your ambition is high, you must also think high. You should overcome obstacle like despondence and proceed until you fulfil the wish. Do you know where there is a will there is a way. If your determination to reach the destination is firm, nothing will come in your way.Since you have already in touch with so many people across the globe, exchanging each other's experiences, sorrows and joys through chatting, you don't find any problem in extending friendship.. Go ahead! My best wishes are with you. [vaviacharya]
if your health prevents you ,then try chattingon net with others ,and watch movies about ther cuntries [dradelelassy]
I have spent very limited time in my home country in the last two years as I have been travelling for work etc Nothing beats despondency more than getting out of your comfort zone and placing yourself somewhere that proves how fortunate you really are. The world is a big place but its getting smaller! The internet has opened up whole new worlds even for "armchair travellers", search for international chat rooms, start reading some travel blogs..... Forget about mainstream travel sites, nothing is better than hearing about strange and exotic locations from a personal perspective..... [James72]
YOu should chat more I think ! [alitheheroic]
I think the only way is going out and actually meet people. On chat I believe people fake a lot. They play roles on chat. Being someone they arent'. They are only looking for approval and support. They are looking for pity. So, I believe the only way to judge people is by meeting them. If you can't travel know about the world through discovery and travel channels. [edelweiss]
as u have said urself try and increase ur social network..try and talk to people with diverse culture and get knowledge about thier countries, culture and geography..ask them to share pictures, videos and other material..besides the best friend can obviously be internet..try to stick with a country or a place for some time and find all u can about that place through the net..when u think u have known enough move to the next..i hope it would help.. [scholastic]
Yeah every one likes to travel in good places. Paris and london r the two places where i want to visit and i think many of u would like to c those places. Well there r chat programs to meet people from differnt places and sites like orkut.com is like to get yr old friends back! I use yahoo messenger and got friends all over the world and to be honest i have met with some real good people. I have learned lot of things from them and i have great time with my friends. I wishu best of luck as well!!! Cheers, tutul [tutul0045]
You can make more friend from intnet. will you? [plyerwang]
oh my internet is a medium, but these days with so much information abt.climate and everything,we can travel anywhere on the globe, equiped withnecessery preventive things..only thing u need to control is water and food,if u can live on vegetables and fruits like me,u can travel around the world atlist very easily one by one countries at a time.. [anirudh1971]
Might I suggest finding a penpal over the net in a country you would like to know more about. Then you and the pen pal can start sending mail telling each other about your own countries and even send photos and postcards showing how your country looks like. [timou87]
Yyeah by chating u can make so many friends from the globe .. i also have friends around the globe [ateebansari]
use the internet ;-) its a great place to meet lots of friends from all over the world. to see lots of places, you can always watch travel documentaries, although nothing beats being there in person, but you can also see a lot of great places in these programs that you most probably will not be able to travel to (eg north pole). [totolotto]
Unfortunately health is really an issue when traveling.. i believe you have no chance of getting out of your country if you have health issues.. contagious diseases are the one's really prohibited.. my advice is for you to interact with them through net meeting.. [barryallen]
Yes travel is really very interesting, and that there is no other ,no other alternatve for this but what all you can do is to make friends all over the globe...they might help you i think! [gadituzair]
Hi ... actually there is no subsitute to travelling ..... but yes apart from making friends all over the globe .... u can watch the travel shows on the various channels ..... and you can read books too which are place based or culture based .... this will enrich ur knowledge on various places and cultures !!!! [deepakraaj]
hey dude., the bottomline is that u need to interact wit different type of ppl., n stuff lik that., n thats wat ur doin now., i mean in mylots wher u get to c new ppl understandin each other [silverhunter]
well u can , if u can afford keep a person to rome with u and take care of u or make full use of internet it will help alot [agrawalnakul]
I think if you spend lots & lots of money, still you may not cover almost all country. I don't know your age but would like to suggest to go for a job in Shipping Service. This is a better option as water journey is always charming.. [bkpdp1]
well if you love traveling.you can start saving arrange to go to a country thats not too far for starting off.then when you have been to the neariest one you can keep going from there .best ask a friend to go with you for company.i think it would be lonely traveling alone. [jen20619]
Yes I can tell you how you can see the world, pay nothing to do so, and go wherever you please. Try Astral Travel, its free, its quick and you can see places you only ever dreamed of. [trshkershaw]
have a planned travel in which make sure it does not affect ur health [ahmedmohiuddin]
you need friends to take care of your accomodation, then you need money for your travel and incidental expenses. [jal1948]
The Labor-Health and Human Services appropriations bill passed by the House in September would restrict overseas travel by National Institutes of Health (NIH) employees and bar further funding of two mental health research grants. The House approved an amendment proposed Rep. Scott Garrett (R-N.J.) that would forbid NIH from sending more than 50 employees to any single overseas conference. Garrett said the more than 130 federal employees who attended an AIDS conference in Bangkok, Thailand, was excessive. In a press release, he said that the amendment "represents common sense and fiscal discipline." An amendment introduced by Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-Tex.) would bar funding by the National Institute of Mental Health of a study by University of Missouri-Columbia researchers examining whether the mental health of individuals experiencing depression and/or post-traumatic disorders can be improved through techniques such as journal writing, and a study by University of Texas, Austin, researchers trying to find indicators for measuring the depression or suicide risk in college students by means such as the way individuals decorate their dorm rooms. "It is imperative that Congress be more responsible with taxpayer money," Neugebauer said. "We should support research to find cures to serious mental health diseases like Alzheimer's and depression instead of wasting valuable dollars researching interior decorating for college dorm rooms." If not the real world, try to be in rhe Cyder World. You will meet a numder of people there. However, be careful about your net-friends. Many cheat are also there. [prasanta]

Dear Vipul 20044, When you had posted your reply within a minute I began replying. The reverie took me deep and I spoke my mind in rather detail. Just a moment ago something got clicked and the whole text disappeared. Has it ever happened with you. In fact I was got touched by what I was writing myself, a dream of travel. Well I began to say thank you for your response. I repeat the same and hope you succeed with whatever noble intentions you are [$$$] in to mylot. drashok I MIGHT HAVE LOST THIS LITTLE PIECE ALSO BECAUSE I AM WATCHING MUNNABHAI MBBS on the PC while replying to you. [drashok]
You can probably go more places than you think. You might just need to boil the water or something. I am going to Africa in 2008 and am full time in a power wheelchair will a full-time assistant. What are your actual restrictions? What do you enjoy doing? There are probably groups for people with that condition. [cripfemme]
You are already taking some good steps. I like to watch the travel channel on cable. That way I can see different places and learn about them without having to be there. History channel can be good to. You can see some scnery and learn about the history and major events in a country you have never been to! Good Luck! [SageMother]
I have lived in southern Spain for three years although I am an American. I have a blog page that I will hopefully get going. And I want to post pictures and tell about the palces I visited on it. Once I figure out what I'm doing. Right now I only have one photo on it. It is of a Roman Ruin named Baelo Claudia. the pic is what is left of the forum and a statue of Trejano. I do have a few more of Rota Spain in my personal profile and plan to download more. If you would like to chat about Spain and other places I have been I would glady do so. [craftwave]
Dear Craftswave, I am overwhelmed. You are so very generous. I would certainly like to chat with you. In India a website hellodear.org is breaking out of the egg. It is a fledgeling and we can chat on www.hellodear.org. I am keen to know what made someone from the usa to go to spain and to have some comparison about the diffrences experienced in the lifestyle, culture, rituals and decency. Thank you angel heart drashok HAPPY NEW YEAR JAN 01, 2007 [drashok]
