Hi there!! Is there a vacation place you can suggest to spend during Holy Week? It would be for a group of 8-10. We're from Cebu and we want to go to somewhere else. Somewhere not so costly but cozy. Thanks.

I suggest you go to Bohol. Fare is not that expensive and also the lodging and food is not so expensive in Tagbilaran, Bohol. I say you stay in Tagbilaran, Bohol and then you can go to Panglao island for the day. You can even stay there for a night and then go to other places in Bohol. There is much to see there. I'm really not into vacation when it's Holy Week. We'd rather stay home or go to the province...hehe...I think the most popular would be Boracay...But if you would really like to save money. Any beach that's really nice would do. [mulder8scully5]

if you want to go Cebu just don't miss to go Bohol too then to cebu provinces like the Kawasaan Falls at South area in town of MOalboal , then going round south there are nice beaches also in Santander then you can take a ferry for only 15 mins. to Dumaguete or you wanna go straight to Mainit Oslob for the famous Sumilon Island ; then much more in Boljoon there's a nice beach resort that won't cost a lot & in Alcoy also. when you wanna just stay in the city choose between Plantation Bay or Shangrila & much more not of so much price in Mactan area. . . . though its a Holy week just don't miss to eat the Cebu's famous CNT lechon with puso ! I suggest you do the traditional Visita Iglesia and try to visit churches from each city. That would be very enlightening and you wouldn't need to spend much. [xtedaxcvg]
I could recommend bantayan island. it is the favorite place for the vacationers specially from the city. It will not cost you more than 500 pesos each person for fare back and fort. The best place is in the beach "Ogtong beach". :) please try... it would be one of the best place in cebu... [lextoper]

I'm from Davao City but I think it's best to go to Baguio City for a real vacation and excitement. A week's vacation there will enable you to see the tourist spots around and you could be proud to say that you are and have seen the Philippines if you've gone to Baguio City already. [luzamper]

Alaminos, Pangasinan could be a great spot. This is where the famous hundred islands is located. If you appreciate nature a lot, you can go here. People say that the cost you will be spending here is less than a boracay or palawan trip. I'm actually planning to go there this summer with my family. Try browsing the net. The hotel accomodations here are cheaper. [joby_09]
I suggest you to go to Panglaw Bohol we've been there last summer very nice and relaxing place and a lot of historical sites to visit there. [bubblesheun]
if you really want to go out and need not be expensive i think skip the holy week everything is jacked up during the holy week i usually spend my vacations after the holy week since holy week i \s the time for me to relax and repent for my sins and commune with god [mikeashiyna]

I suggest you go to Bohol or Palawan because it's near Cebu already. You could go to a travel agency and inquire. I think they offer some packages. [oiixdaii]
boracay is one of the best place to spend holy week if you want to have a vacation. or palawan has many great beaches el nido or amanpulo. batangas beaches are clean too. pangasinan has white sand and hundred islands. zambales if you're looking for surfing spot. [queenie_sum]
