I am on vacation starting today (Dec.22) until after the new year. I really don't have any GREAT plans. I have stayed home once before on a vacation and got so much taken care of, but I never felt like I was on a real vacation. Everything is done this time so now I am doing nothing. I really don't care to travel this time of the year, but I also don't want to waste my vacation time doing nothing! What are some things you do on vacation if you do not travel?

Me and my husband only get to take 2 days off and we usually plan it for our anniversery. We go a few hours north to where we had our honeymoon and stay the night , then we come back and spend the rest of the time with our kids. [hannarose27]

I'm on vacation the rest of my life, so it's nothing special unless we go somewhere. We just got back from a trip downstate to see my brother-in-law. My sister died a couple of months ago from smoking related illness and he is feeling pretty lonely right now. [oldbuddy]
For me it's the first time after many years that I have vacation. Not because my job permits it, but because I have no job. So, I will spend once again my days with my beautiful son, and then by the 27th I will continue searching for work. [remaster74]
i roam a lot go out with my all different different chicks and party boos smke and ya some times we even plan to go out on a long ride on a bike with chicks all around [maddinair]
Take a day or two to pamper yourself. Go get a massage, facial, or whatever makes you feel pampered. Go out to eat at a great restaurant that you have always wanted to go to, but never have. Visit places of interest in your area as if you are a tourist and see it through a tourist's eyes or go to a nearby area as a tourist. For ideas of what to see, look it up on the internet what tourists will see in your area. Get some scented candles and bubble bath or bath oil and take long leasurely baths. [caribe]
This sounds wonderful! I would have never thought to pamper myself, but I think I will give it a try. I also never thought of being a tourist on my own hometown. There are probably many things I have never seen or done here, I will check into that too. Thank you for the great suggestions. [wmg2006]

Well I live close to the mountains so if you live around a great national park or zoo or some type of exhibit, I would suggest doing that because it is relaxing and it gets you out of the house. I would love to able to get out but don't get to much due to having three kids with my army husband who works alot and so he usually has our car so I am usually left sitting here at home looking a four walls. But I am not going to complain much because he is leaving to go overseas for 13 months so I am enjoying my time with him cuddling here at home. [christie1978]
I'll stay home with my family and we well stay and eat christmas pie and cakes :d Is the only time when we are together. And I will try to study for college because it comes the time to give some exams and i need good marks:) I'll also navigate the internet cuz I find cool things on it and I really like to navigate. mostly when I have days-off or weekend or holidays, I've spent at home....browsing and chatting, since I'm crazy bout making money online I usually look opportunities bout that. for others maybe it kinda boring but I enjoy it [koerporation]

I am on vacantion too. In this vacantion I will stay with my family at Christmas and at the New Year I will celebrate with my friends. After that I will stay at home and i will make my homeworks for school. By the way I am in 12 grade :P [zaxxer]

Whoa, nice one. I have been thinking of vacation to the highlands this few weeks. Well, recently I have just slacken and did a few boring things as home. Been downloading many games and finding cracks to crack it(Very bad huh?). Or been chatting with my boyfriend who is now studying in the states. i have so many plans for vacation. but the more that i plan is far to where I go. Many concerns having it. I together with my relatives goes out of town in a beach.
