My favorite one is "Top Gun" especially when they play the song "Take My Breath Away" and also the movie,i cannot really remember it very good,its an old one when hes trying to rescue a princess,it has 2 unicorns in it and a big red devil who captured her to make her his wife.Lots of puppets in it also.Its not Labyrinth for sure but maybe "Princess bride" or something like that.He was very young in this movie,the girl had long brown hair in it. I watched a lot of Tom cruise movies. For the feel good ones, I like Jerry Maguire. I can't forget that line by Renee Zellweger, "You had me at hello". But my favorite among his characters is the character he played in "The Interview with the Vampire". I really love this one, seeing Brad Pitt, Antonio Banderas and Tom Cruise in one great movie. My favorite Tom Cruise Movie is Vanilla Sky. I truly love that movie and to think about it I am going to watch it tomorrow when I get off work LOL I haven't seen it in awhile. [jrichtback]
I've never really cared for Tom Cruise. He seems to do the same thing in every movie. He's shown no "breath" of acting ability to me. That was until I saw "The Last Shogun". In this film, he got so into his role that I forgot it was Tom! That's what I look for - an actor who I see as the character in the movie, not the actor being an actor in the movie. So by far and large "The Last Shogun" is my favorite Cruise movie. [AD11RGUY]

Jerry McGuire is probably my favorite Tom Cruise movie. I really liked a lot of actors in that movie. I like The Outsiders too. Looking at his filmography I have not really seen too many of his movies. [lilybug]
I think my favorit Tom Cruse movie is The last shogun. It was well written. The story was very well done and the acting was superior. Cruse brought the character to real life. I have also seen all three of the mission impossible movies. I however, found that the only one with a good story line was the first. It seemed to me that the two that followed were lacking something. There was lots of action but it needed more meat in the script. More plot. I have not seen any good movies by Tom Cruse lately though. I guess he is busy with his new family. [sizzle3000]
I must preface this by saying I am not a Tom Cruise fan at all, so any movie I like that has him in it is in spite of him and not because of him. My favorite is definitely Jerry Maguire. It's a touching love story, very funny, written and directed by Cameron Crowe who is my favorite director, and has Renee Zellweger in it, whom I love. Second would probably be Vanilla Sky. [dfn12968]
He can be in some good movies, so if the movie is good I will still watch it. I do not prefer him as a person. I am not impressed with him as an actor. Some people are, however, so he lands good roles. I will not boycott a good movie because he's in it, but he's not a selling point. I try to be fair and keep his religion out of it. Scientology is hard, however, to remain neutral about. [owatagoosiam]
