There are so many places where we can go for a travel. If you get a chance to choose where to go this year, where will you go ? To a beach or mountains ? Or went for a shopping with metro life :) Or enjoy hiking and camp in mountains ? For me, i like to go to mountains. Enjoy some fresh air, with so many trees, and enjoy some villagers' food. Healthy, fresh and give your mind a little rest.

This year we'll be going to the western Caribbean (Cozumel, Ocho Rios and, Grand Cayman) on a cruise. Its not my ideal vacation, Id prefer the souther Caribbean or cruising through Eurpoe but its better than staying home. Im a beach girl all the way. I have a long list of travel wishes but topping the list is Bora Bora. I can definately see your attraction to the mountains though. It always seems so peaceful there. [McCarty23]

Humm, I like the both, but its kind of difficult to camping on a beach. I like the beautiful and stay near of water. but much like camping. I like fresh air like you, They is beautiful landscape in moutains, and it's making excercice in same time! And you can discover the fauna out there. i really love to go anywhere. i'm an adventurous type of gal, so flexible and would want to explore the world. of the hectic schedule that i'm having considering that i'm a student and also working, i always make it to the point that i could find a time to relax and forget the city lights and the noisy streets. considering my place, what i'm more convenient to have my chilax mode is on the beach. a lot of beaches are surrounding my area so basically i get to spend much of my free time there. when choosing a beach i am not picky but would want to try different resorts in the place. as for now, since i've spent much like all my vacation days on the beach which i always have liked, i want to try or go for mountains as of now. actually i've done having my vacation on mountain provinces but not really enjoying the time to get the chance to do climbing and camping. I just have to be sure to remember my camping supplies! i want to try those things as well as just having a picnic, shop picnic tables, with friends on a grassy area anywhere on the mountain. i'll surely find time to explore this new venue! I would really love to travel in mountains. I am crazy about the mountains and it should be those wild mountains and creepy ones too. I like beaches too but not that much as mountains. There is nothing much to do in the beach while in the mountains you can walk and sense the peace there ofcourse there should be no animals like monkeys and all because I am really scared of them. I like to travel around seeing a variety of different scenery. Most of all I adore seeing white sand beaches with gently waving palm trees. I so enjoy swimming and snorkeling in the warm blue ocean. I love to see the colorful coral and pretty fish. I love to explore, meet the local people, see the native wildlife, go caving, climb mountains and bathe in waterfalls. I have been to some countries that have been perfect for this sort of mix of relaxation and adventure. These were Samoa, French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, the Maldives and the Seychelles. I prefer the mountains. I love hiking and trekking so the obvious choice for me is mountains. I feel that mountains have more diversity. Beaches are places where you cannot do much, but laze around. I like to be active, and explore new things. Mountains have waterfalls, and to get to then you'll have to walk through forests. There are many birds, and animals you come across in those forests. Give me a room on the ocean and I am the happiest person in the world. We had hoped to one day retire to an ocean front area, but not in today economy. Thinking about the beach and mountains makes me smile. They're both really relaxing. I think if I had to choose one or the other, I'd like to go to the mountains because I'm from the US and have never been out West (no further west than Missouri, I think). Although I love both beaches and mountains, I'd want to live in California (or at least visit) because they have both beaches and mountains there. My fiance really likes the beach, so I would probably go there just to take her. That'd make her really happy. I think it's very romantic too. We love going on beach vacations but we do go and take vacations up north in the woods quite a bit. We live in an area where we are just a couple of hours away from areas where people have a lot of cabins and do a lot of camping. We are lucky to have friends that have family cabins so we can just stay with them and we have rented secluded cabins before too. So I would say if we are going somewhere far away it would be the beach and warm climate. Where we live it is usually below 40 degrees for over half the year so warm weather is a must half way through it. [abby0210]

I love, love, love the mountains! I want to live there, I want to die there. When I lived in British Coulmbia, Canada I was surrounded by the Rockies. I loved them. I feel relaxed and cozy in the mountains. I guess I'm just a mountain momma. No mountains here in Florida, so I miss them. I love the beach too, but not the beach here. It is nice white sand, but the waters are trecherous full of sharks and man-0-wars. I used to live in British Columbia, Canada and we went to the mountains and the beaches. I hate hiking, not that fond of swimming but I do love the mountains and I do love the beaches, but I figure i love the beaches more. I love to smell the salt air on my face, and the wind in my hair. I also love lobster, crab, shrimp,etc. I do prefer beaches in mountainous areas, and have a mountain close by, and to see the wild flowers, the moss covered rocks, and the dead trees almost across the paths. Just as long as the path is made of wood, or cut into the rocks, and there is a place to hold onto when it gets steep. [suspenseful]

I think now that I am older and being a fulltime housewife with kids to look after to 7/24, such kind of activity doesn't suit my life anymore. I have travelled a lot over the past twenty years, but far less so now that I have three children. Most of the time I prefer holidays by the beaches. We have so0me beautiful beaches & I love lying there in the sun, or getting in the surf. Occassionally the mountains hold an attraction for me. hi jc! happy i like hiking up to the mountains too but this time, i prefer going to the beach and take a swim in the cold waters of the sea! ^__^ in fact, we just had a beach outing and island hopping at the Hundred Islands in Pangasinan, Philippines. it was so much fun! i love the water! it was so clear, clean, calm, and cold. i am actually a bit afraid of oceans and seas because of the big waves and too big area where i can get lost ^__^;;, but at the hundred islands, it was different. since the part where we swam was surrounded by small islands, it was shielded from big waves. and the weather was fine then so there's no occurrences of large waves. that's why i really enjoyed it there and it made me love swimming again. wink [secretbear]
