A zimmer, A tree house hotel, Garden hotels, Underwater hotels, Capsule hotels or maybe an Apartment hotel?
Would you rather stay at an unusual place like those i stated, or do you like the standard 5 stars hotel?
I know that when i go on my vacation i always like to try a new kind of a hotel, even if it sounds like a very strange one.
So what hotel would you choose?
Wouldn't you like to live in a hotel? i know i would.
Do share.

I don't know, they do seem interesting... Why not? I'm all up to different things... I have stayed in some 5 star hotels and some are really worth it. But I also like some different ones. But I wouldn't like to live in a hotel, it would lack my personal touch in decoration and so on... [sarinha84]
I understand, but i know that there are certain hotels that gives you a free hand, in the decoration part. [liranlgo]
I'm sure the difference between 5 stars and 4 cannot be very much. But when I feel like I'm paying too much to stay somewhere, I want features. I remember going to Las Vegas years ago and we took the free trip into the desert to check out and RV park, have lunch and get a free prize and come back to our hotel. The RV park had tables all set up where one couple would sit and eat along with one salesperson. After dinner was this splashy show which highlighted all of the wonderful things that came with the purchase of your own personal RV spot! Wow!!!! Not! I wasn't buying. I won the trip to Vegas by selling vacuum cleaners. These guys ground on me until I thought I was going to turn to dust. I did apologize to the agent they stuck with us. I repeatedly told him we were the duds of his month. "Salesmen buy! Why won't you take it? Buy it..." I don't do RV's. I don't like paying money so that I can cook my own food and wash my own dishes and make my own bed. THAT just isn't a vacation to me. Anything I have to do the rest of the year isn't a holiday if I am doing the same thing somewhere else. I don't even like theme hotels. I just want to sit and do nothing. No kids. No worries. No neighbours. Nothing. Just sit by the pool and sip a nice juice drink that someone brought me. Ahhhhh...that's living. So, how many stars makes a vacation? 4 will work I think. But 5 is better. P-) [freebc]
Well, it seem that sales persons are always there. am i right or am i right? Lol. If that sale person was smart, he would leave you along, after hearing what you said. Now about the hotels, there are much differences between 4 and 5 stars, but it does depend in which country. I know that in Israel there is a big difference between them, and we do have a very high standards for hotels. in Europe there is not such a difference. But i can really relate to the part of sipping juice at the pool, it usually is enough for me too. Lol. [liranlgo]
I like to stay where there's a fireplace and a kitchen but don't have to cook all the time a small cabin would be just fine. [aprilgrl]
I enjoy staying at a bed and breakfast. Its great to learn about older houses and have a wonderful home cooked breakfast. The personal touch is so important and I remember the vacation even more. [Fishmomma]
yes it is wonderful. older houses. special touch to everything. :) [liranlgo]
Usually when I go for a tour, I will not spend too much on accommodations. Reasons being that I usually stay overnight for resting. And I feel good money is wasted. I will either choose a three star or a four star hotel. My selection depends where the hotel is located. Certain three star hotel are good as a four star hotel. If I am to stay in a place for some time then I will select a good hotel, not necessary the best. [mdarma]
i understand:) [liranlgo]
Wow!I would love to live in a tree house hotel,if given a chance. It would be a unique experience sharing the space with birds and squirrels.Monkeys too. Oh it would be such fun.I love squirrels.Maybe we could make friends too and share our meals, one two walnuts from them and a few sandwiches to them. But I'll have to be careful 'cause monkeys might snatch the food. I remember a monkey snatching a packet of wafers from my hand and I didn't like it at all.Lol.:) [worthy]
Yeah friend,a very good idea.More the merrier.Lol.:) [worthy]
Personaly? When I first arrive in a new country, or place. I prefer a 4* or 5* star hotel. I am tired and I want a comfortable and very relaxed atmosphere. I feel this instantly in a 5 star hotel. A four star hotel is probably missing one thing and it is usually a pool. After a day or two I will downgrade myself switching to a less expensive place that has been recommended. I always reserve my first two nights from home. [meander]
i want underwater hotels lol! if i have the money. only in my dreams. i don't think i will be ever go there. and whenever i feel like swimming i'll just go out and swim. or while sleeping you can see the fish and corals. wow! so cool.. [queenie_sum]
yes definetly i would prefer to stay in a 4* or 5* hotel if i go on a vacation. i would not like to stay anywhere else [lols189]
Well, I'd rather stay in different places on my vacation. I like trekking more than staying in hotels. In between treks it might be nice to be in a 5 stars hotel or maby one of the special and very interesting ones you have just stated above. I've been to a salt hotel in the Grand Salar in Bolivia. It costs a fortune to stay there... I've seen an ice hotel on discovery channel - it is expensive also. Both look like great places to be in, so I guess that the rest might be good as well (but probably as expensive...). [Healthkeep]
well, i had a smile on my place when i read your response, seems like all of us israelis, love the strange and odd things that life offers us. Lol. how is a salt hotel. never been to one. but it sure sounds amazing. [liranlgo]
No matter when or where I go for a vacation I like to stay in a 3 stars hotel after having a tiresome sight-seeing. On the whole I just want a clean, comfortable and hygienic place with basic facilities that we need for us to stay over night for resting. I always try not to spend too much on hotel accommodations. I just stay about 6 to 8 hours per night so all the luxurious items provided by the hotel are not so important to me as I couldn't enjoy them much during that short stay. [lkbooi]
I suppose I wouldn't mind experimenting with the different hotels since I don't usually stay in hotels. I usaully go camping instead, although I have stayed at hotels a few times, I usually prefer camping. [kelly60]
Thank you kelly, camping seem to be much fun. [liranlgo]
Well I am not that adventourous as when I go on vacation hotels are just to pass night otherwise I am busy mapping the place I visit and whole day seeing sights of the place.I prefer to stay in neat and clean hotel with proper water supply. [sunita64]
ok. But arn't you just a bit curious about other creative hotels? [liranlgo]
