Wheres Your Favorite Vacation Spot The One Place You Keep Going Back To...

My favorite all time vacation spot is Cape Cod, MA off season. I just love the quaint little towns, the shops, the great restaurants, the cranberry bogs and taking the ferry out out to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. I've enjoyed many trips there with friends over the years.

Definitely my home/origin country. When its time for a long vacation and we have enough money to spend, my home country is always been the first thing that we have in mind. Visiting my family, relatives and my friends....the food, the athmosphere, the weather and many more...makes me always to keep going back whenever possible. Of course there are many other beautiful country in this world but nothing more beautiful for me than seeing my family again in my home/origin country.... [apakabar2007]
Visiting family in Canada is my second - so I definitely can relate. The family, the food, etc. [MJLami]

I have only been to Cape Cod once and I have very fond memories of it. However, my favorite vacation spot is Las Vegas. I've been there about 10 times. [tallpaulno44a]
I have yet to get to Las Vegas, and not being a gambler not sure that I will. I understand its popularity though - many of my friends would agree with you! Thanks for sharing. [MJLami]

I've been to about 38 states, but Massachusetts is not one of them. I would love to experience the beauty of Cape Cod. The one place I have kept going to over the years, more than any other place is Branson, Missouri. It's not just shows, although they are great. But the beauty of the Ozarks is impossible to articulate. You can do so many different things that you don't get bored. And the shopping is great! : ) [AmbiePam]
I have yet to get to the Ozarks. I'm sure it is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. [MJLami]

Italy. I have been there twice and it is so beautiful. [Aurone]
I'm sure it is! I would love to get to Rome and Florence. Thanks for sharing. [MJLami]

I can imagine the Asian countries would be spectacular to see. I am glad you enjoyed your trip! [MJLami]

I love going to Helen Georgia. Helen is a little alpine village. Once a year they have people dressed in alpine costume. There are hundreds of shoppes to go into. You can watch people blow glass, or make candles.. all kinds of different crafts. [charlene2350]
Thanks for sharing about Helen, GA. I'd not ever heard of it. [MJLami]

The Colorado Mountains! We can't get enough of all the beautiful scenery and attractions they offer there. We went just a little over a year ago and drove up Pikes Peak...I will never forget that trip! Scared me to death! It was so foggy driving up and back down and nothing on the sides of the roads. When we did make it to the top my now 13 yr old and I were the only ones that couldn't handle the climate and started getting sick. We couldn't stay up there very long. I wasn't even able to leave the vehicle it was so bad on me. Guess you can me a whimp....lol We also went to Seven Falls, The Colorado Springs Zoo, Santa's Work Shop, and drove around in the mountains. We plan on going back in about a year or so. We were going to go in July of this year, but unable to afford it this time. [warriorsdaughter]
The Colorado Mountains have been on my list to see for years. Glad to hear they are worth it. Thanks for sharing. [MJLami]

Our favorite vacation spot is in Gatlinburg Tennessee. We love to go down there in the fall and watch the leaves turn and fall off the trees. It is so peaceful down there. It is so pretty down there. We have enjoyed many trips with friends there over the years as well. We have lots of memories. We did not get to go for the past two years but before then we went every year. [UDDERONES]
That is a beautifal area, we went to Pigeon Forge last fall, rented a cabin up in the smokie mountains and it was an awesome few. I loved going on the Ober Gatlinburg, and seeing the bears! [palonghorn]

Las Vegas baby. Sin City just feels like home to me. They have the best shows, the best food, and scantilly-clad women at places like Hooters an Rio, and okay everyplace-- don't hurt either. There is also that gambling thing, which is fun... unless you run out of money. Budget well and show just a little restraint and it's a non-stop good time...except when you always lose...sigh... Of course there are the times when you actually win! Jebus be praised! The Golf is great and the helocopter rides are very cool if haven't done them. Plus just touring the casino's is a lot of fun. Especially the themed ones like the Venetian. Thanks MJLami, now you've got me wanting to go there! ;) Minnie Mouse is HOT! filmbuff [filmbuff]
Thanks, I hope to get back there soon myself. It's been a couple years since I went, so likely everything has changed which is another plus. :) [filmbuff]

Atlantic City .I love going there. Another is Beechaven,nj. that is the most beautiful beach. gotta watch for the waves there though, they'll knock you into next week, lol. [66jerseygirl]
I've never made it to the beaches in NJ. I know my parents used to enjoy trips to Atlantic City - it seemed like an annual thing for them until CT opened the Indian Casinos. Thanks for sharing. [MJLami]

We keep going back to Destin, Florida. Went to Phoenix and Las Vegas. Loved all three places. Want to go back to Vegas. Would love to visit NYC, LA. [mollylh]
Thanks for sharing. I do hope you get to NYC. It is very much worth the visit! I've been a few times and plan on going again. [MJLami]

My favorite vacation spot is an old castle in Great Britain. It is Capernwray Hall in Lancashire, the Headquarters of Torchbearers Fellowship. I have been there twice and would like to go back, its in such a beautiful scenery. I would also have to attend the church activities in that castle then. Its evangelical and I dont like that too much now, my points of view on some doctrines have changed. But I would "bite into that sour apple" as a proverb says here in Germany, because the place is so nice. [book1962]
LOL. I know, I guess that's the same in all parts of the world. I had no idea. Thanks for sharing this. [MJLami]

I've been to many places over the years, however, my favorite 'vacation' spot is a little camp ground about 20 minutes away from our house. We take many 'mini' vacations there, just to get away from the house for the weekend. It is nestled in the woods and is soooo relaxing, just to get away, relax, we always take a good book to read, and the dog always goes with us. As far as a vacation, I loved going to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We rode down on the motorcycle with another couple, stayed in a cabin up on the mountain, and it was a great time. We also went on the Dragon's Tail, an awesome ride.......318 curves in 11 miles! [palonghorn]
It sounds really nice. Thanks for sharing it. My parents used to take us every weekend to a campground that was only about 20 minutes from home - just to get away. Those were fun memories. Thanks for reminding me. [MJLami]

my favorite vacation spot is shimla and kerla.they both are in india.shimla is very cold since its a hill station.kerla is full of rivers and back waters.the climate is also pretty good.kerla food is really yummy.....but i lost this years trip as i had exams.hope,i go there on the next vaccation... [sandeepram]
I hope you get there for the next vacation also. It sounds like it could be beautiful. Thanks for sharing it. [MJLami]

My favorite vacation spot is leelanau which is close to Treverse city of Mi.We love the wine testing, homemade cherry pie, fresh cherry and the beautiful beaches .This is our favorite vacation place that to keep us going back each year. [321633wy]
It sounds very nice, much beter than anything else I had heard from a co-worker that grew up in that state. Thanks for commenting. [MJLami]

defenetly Vama Veche, a small village by the Black Sea, at the border with Bulgaria... would go there anytime:) [liana_pescarus]
I went to San Francisco earlier this year. More than likely it'll be another 2 years before I travel again. [MJLami]

Since I've been married, we've never really taken any "vacations" and probably won't for a while. My husband is Air Force, and we are stationed 1100 miles from home, so we use his leave time to go see our families. It's kind of like a vacation I guess. We both grew up within an hour of Branson, Missouri. So there are always lots of things to do when we are home, besides spending time with family. We went to Silver Dollar City last year. We didn't make it to any shows, though, because I couldn't stand the thought of being away from my baby for another night (he was only 4 months old). Next year we are going to try to do more stuff when we go home. Elliott will be 2.5, though, so it will make things easier. He will be able to do some stuff with us, instead of us just leaving him with my sister. [carlaabt]
I understand the need to visit family. We spent many vacations visiting relatives also. At least with you being from there and familiar with the area there is more to do than just say hi to family :) Hopefully soon you won't be so far away! Thanks for commenting. [MJLami]
