Vacation is the best activity to do when we have many holiday and for family bonding. Vacation helps us release tension and give back happiness in our life. It also helps the economy growth and give people chance to work or do business.

i would love to go my village and spend some time near the dam. it is the best place for me to chill out, and i can never get bored of that place. or i will go to the mountains in the Himalayas and spend some time there. being close to mother nature gives me a sense of security and happiness. I so agree with you on the need for vacation. I have not gone to another country, other than cananda but that was not vacation. I Love to go to the beach. Myrtle Beach or Virginia Beach is my preference when I am with my hubby. We went as a family to Tennesee and that was SO wonderful. Since our money is so budgeted right now we have not been anywhere for a few years. But I do plan on making one very soon, and we are planning to go to the beach, not sure which one but I cant wait to see my kids running throught the sand. If we have to go closer for gas constraints it will be TN again. We love nature and that is definatly a place of nature. We sight see, go to Zoo's, and aquariums, try new food. And we dont keep a schedule, we just go whereever whenever. [ladygator]
Beach is a good place to go on vacation. The air and the water is good. There a lot activity can be done at the beach. There beach games that can play. I live near the beach. I always love to travel and so far i love coming back to the tourist spots in my country. I love the beaches and the interesting sights to see and not to mention the food. I always love the food in the phils. But me and my hubby plans to visit paris next year too. I am excited to travel local places and abroad. For vacation most of the time I visit my friends and family members ! I would prefer to go places in the country because you are quite accustomed with the culture and will not have much problem !! But again visiting foreign countries will take more time and money !! So I would prefer the country you are living in !! [bsa861]

I know that there are so many beautiful place in my country that i can go to. In Indonesia there are still lots of beautiful places that I haven't gone there before and I would really like to go there to have a holiday. But it is too bad that the accommodation and the facility there wasn't well maintained, and I want to have a decent holiday so I would like to go to far away places. And it is said that while we are still young we should try to go to somewhere far, and when we got older and cannot go far away anymore we can go to somewhere closer LOL. [klaudine]

Well, before I hit the world for vacation, I still have to take a look at the beautiful places in my country. We are composed of 7,107 islands and that pretty huge. There have been lot of beautiful scenery that has yet to be unfold here. The beaches here are awesome for summer vacation. Every places also has its great role in history. Need to visit its famous landmarks. Truly amazing to discover places, specially when nothing to do except having the vacation. I will prefer first to uncover my homeland before going to foreign land. Usually I go to local beaches here for vacation. It's not expensive unlike going out of the country. The beaches here are fantastic! I couldn't be in any other place in the world. Bantayan is already a heaven. [amira_milka]
Going to beaches is not expensive at all. I do stay near to beach. My house is jut 15 minutes walk to the beach. I enjoy myself going to beach. When I feel for vacation, I just grab picnic basket and have my vacation with my friends or family at the beach. [ravinder18]
it does not really matter where i will spend vacation. as long as i can afford to pay for it then i will go there. but sometimes vacationing in other countries can be much cheaper than vacationing here in my own country. and that is why i am planning to vacation more in other neighbouring countries. than to visit my own country in places that i have never been before here . that is why many more people here if they don't have much money and still want to have good vacation will opt to see other near country than to some good places here in my country. hope to have more money so that i can visit the beautiful places my country can offer. My favorites vacation country is Italy and German. I like the ancient sculpture very much. Also, i like those castle and building that's with special design. One of the reason i like castle is because in my country we don't have castle. LOL. At this moment, i would only able to go vacation in own country as because of money matters. Oh~~Of course I would love to go to a foreign land for vacation. How wonderful that must be. But, my heart says that before I do that, I have to visit at least most of the best places here in my country. I know there are a lot of really great places where I can have my vacation here in my country and it is going to be a shame on my part if foreign people have traveled my country and I don't. In 2010, when my boyfriend comes home, we're planning to visit some of the most beautiful places here in the Philippines and after that we'll fly to Hongkong, we do not have enough budget yet for somewhere farther than that. lol. It's hard to answer this question,both the own country and foreign countries are attractive to me to spend by good vacation. And beautiful sight is everywhere,have the different charm. For the other side,there are 3 discommodiousness factor for have the vacation in foreign countries. First,the cost of foreign country vacation usually is much higher than they spend in our country(sometime is on the opposition), this matter always hold them back. The second factor is language, maybe this is a problem,but if you english or other english is good,or you can follow to other,it will not a question. And at last, usually we can't go to some countries without visa, so we have to cost much on the vise appication. Some times,the feeling is different when you are in the other country. [Feiyel]

I travel a lot because of my work so I say do both! It's best to know your own country so you can appreciate it more, its cheaper too and you can help in the tourism industry. Traveling abroad widens your horizons. It opens your eyes to other people's cultures and wonder. Traveling at home and abroad, each satisfies a different craving for me. Almost every year, my family take a vacation either local trips or abroad. I find seeing other countries much exciting because its only are rare chance that you could go back there again. unlike in local trips, you can go there as you wishes. It's nice to travel to foreign land but it will cause you to spend large sum of money. Having a vacation on great/beautiful places in your home country is good also because you can never be a stranger in your own place and the advantage is that it will cost you less on the expenses. But if you can afford to travel abroad then why not? To visit foreign lands and to discover different cultures are really exciting, great and enjoyable experience. I'm more of a stay-at-home person when holidays is around the corner. Though pretty much anywhere is fine by me, as long as I can speak the language - or if most of the inhabitants speak english. But I'd love to take a trip to MI, USA, to meet a friend of mine I haven't seen before. So if somebody could get me there, I'd be at the airport with full-packed bags before you could say 'vacation'. I live in a small country. There's really no place here I can get away from. So I prefer to have a vacation in a foreign country. We usually go to a neighbouring country. There are many beautiful beaches in Malaysia and one of the best that I have been to is Redang Island. Clear blue skies, white sandy beaches, fish swimming in the waters, just like in the movies. In fact it has appeared in a movie once, an Asian movie. I would love to bring my daughter there one day when she's a little older. I went there before I got pregnant. My husband and I love beaches, it's just so calming and serene. I don't think we will ever get tired of beach vacations! [SydneyHazelton]

I prefer going out of the country and the main reason is that when I'm going to a vacation I wanted to go somewhere rare and hard to go to that's why you spend the days you're on vacation. I think there's some psychology to it that you can go anytime you want on anywhere inside your country if you want to. But the real thing is that, it's not as easy as we thought. But the real issue here is that it is cheaper traveling inside the country and it's more common to you that's why there's more specialness going outide the country on a vacation. [geekyjock]

I like to spend my vaction in my homeland. First, I do not enjoy travelling in a plane during its transistion state (e.g. take-off, landing, turbulence), maybe its a kind of phobia I never get to overcome it...Second, I like my country generally because it is one of the safest city in the world and there is lots of entertainment for people of my age to look forward. Sure, people down here may be superficial, but home is still home. However, I did travel to foreign countries in my younger days. For example, North America, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Switerland,etc. But thats because my sister dragged me into it, lol! [Boldone1]
