Our would officially start on December 22 and we will be back on January 2.
Its going to be 10 days of no work but simply staying at home. I cannot think of more things to do and places to go but i want to do everything during that long break.
How about you? Do you also have a long vacation, off from your work?

Our vacation would start on the 24th then we'll go back to work on Jan. 2. But we are not sure about that because there have been talks that 2 will be a holiday. [kaliyha]
Hi, Kaliyha! We are also waiting for Jan 2 to be declared as holiday. But as of this writing, there's no official announcement yet. Some are already planning to go onleave as they're lazy to report for work for a friday, then a weekend again after that. Let's all wait and see! =) [Ysabel]
I really do not know if i will take that long vacation... i am not really obliged to go to the office... but then... i certainly want to just stay at least half day here so that my boss wouldn't think that i am taking advantage of her... We do not have a christmas party where i work... so i only have two family gatherings to attend to... and that is enough for me... [aseretdd]
hello aseretdd, from what you said, i think i envy you. it seems you have plenty of time! less demands from work and only two family gatherings! honestly, my work has been into my schedule i have to beg off with some of the gatherings i am suppose to attend. =( i hope i have a work like yours =) he he he [Ysabel]
Guess wat? i dont have vacation even for a single day.. The reason is that we are a recrutment co. n our delegate is coming to visit us for taking interviews so, my boss has already announced that i cannot give u even a single day leave.. Bt, i hv planned to spent 31st Nite with my Fiancee so, i will try not to come to ofc that day [A_Shabina]
Wow that long? Well in our office its Jan 24th it may be declared a half day though. But, I decided to take a leave on the 24th already as I have to leave for the provinces on the night of the 23rd. and would be back on the 5th of Jan next year. So my leaves is on the 24th and Jan 2 of next year. [rsa101]

i'm working in a call center and we don't have Christmas vacation. We need to go to work on all holidays (except if the holiday happens to fall on your Rest day). Anyway, the compensation is good, my company pays us double on that shift plus a 500pesos allowance.. so not bad. or you can apply it as a Vacation leave if you really don't want to go to work. as for me, since we are entitled of 20 VLs every year, i've filed Dec.16- jan. 3 as a vacation leave. The last day before our break is December 23rd. Then we will be off until January 2 and go back to work on the 5th. I am actually excited for a break this year since I have not had a long break during this time at previous jobs I've had. [mindym]

I would rather stay at home and look after my daughter. But yesterday we started to buy christmas gifts and new clothes,shoes for us. Shopping for christmas is one of my favorite thing to do during holiday seasons. Buy this Sunday December 21 I will start buying can goods and do grocery listings tonight that i will be buying this Sunday. I love to cook for my family on christmas eve. [julialaurene0206]
Hi Ysabel. It's a good thing you have a long vacation for Christmas. Our Christmas break starts on Dec. 24 and we'll back on January 2 but we could also be reporting for work on Dec. 29th and 30th. Kinda short break but this is better than no break at all. [jaymezroolz]

I work in a caregiver school and this the only vacation I can get for the whole year, we had our vacation last dec. 16 and be back at jan. 5. [nimnim74]
