Well, each and everyone of us deserves to take a break from strenuous work. As for me, i always make sure to file a vacation leave at least once a year. Two years ago, i've been to Shenzhen China with my friends and indeed, it was unforgettable.. a lot of funny things happened and one of which i would never forget is when we were put on hold at the immigration office... hahahaha. good thing, we were released after 30 minutes and we immediately called for a cab to take us to the nearest hotel. it was fun and scary at the same time... how about you, what's your most unforgettable vacation? please share your stories.. =)

2 weeks in what was then still Yugoslavia. Got to see the Danube River (in Belgrade), the Alps (in Sarajevo), and swim in the Adriatic Sea (in Dubrovnik). Also got to meet some family that we had lost track of during WWII. Incredibly beautiful scenery. [avranesjr]
It was neat. And I'll never forget eating fresh lobster on the terrace of a hotel in Dubrovnik with the mountains behind, and overlooking the Adriatic Sea in front. [avranesjr]

As a business student, I travel frequently within the country. However, my most unforgettable vacation was 3 years ago when I went to my homeland. I met my friends who were all grown up, I saw my cousins, aunts, uncles, and everyone else. I partied the nights away, drank till I couldn't drink, ate amazing spicy food and spend hours laying on the beach. It was really relaxing and exciting. I plan to go to Cancun with my friends however for spring break, so I'm hoping that will become the most unforgettable...will update you if it is, ha!!! [mayhem23]
Hello gracie. I have never been to the city, but I guess that you must have spent a wonderful vocation there with your friends. [williamjisir]
Wow! Immigration is really scary, lol! My most unforgettable is last july. My husband and I went to Cebu and it's my first time to ride an airplane. I just can't remember how scared I am when the plane started to shake. Can you just imagine how scared I am? I am scared to deathlol. My husband is very supportive and try to calm me down and said it's just normal. I think it's the turbulent. [aisaellis22]
My most unforgettable vacation is just this year. I finally met my fiance and he came here to ask my hand to my parents. It's so wonderful. We went to Cebu Philippines together to go to the consulate office and it's my first time to board on the plane. Everything is so wonderful during that month. I got married and we travel to different places near our town. We have been talked of the town too because my husband is a foreigner. [aisaellis22]
The most time I had to spend vacation was 2006. Me, my sister and my mom, went to South Korea, for a first time vacation (for me and for my sister) to our relatives. It was unexpected and was not planned actually. Though it was fun, I wish my dad could come, but unfortunately he was in South Africa, and was working. So we stayed in South Korea for 16 days. Not bad for a vacation. Then the same year, around last week of November to first week of January, a special someone went Philippines and we hung out in Boracay for a week and in Palawan. So, this is the most unforgettable because, the plan didn't exactly happen. Supposedly after our Boracay trip, we should be heading back to Manila and so the next day we fly to Puerto Prinsesa, Palawan. However since the bad typhoon hit Boracay terribly at that time, we missed our flight, and we can't book our flight back since many passengers were stranded. We don't have other option but to take ourselves to Iloilo by bus for 4 hours (it was the best bus travel I ever experienced! I love the ambiance and the environment on our way..), so we could take ferry going to Palawan. It took us 22 hours, plus a stop over at Cuyo Island. Stayed for 3 hours there, if not mistaken. So we took the once in a lifetime experience of exploring the beautiful, sweet small island. And... I saw the most expensive beach in the Philippines, the Amanpulo!! Boy, it was breathtaking!! So, we hired a tricycle to tour us around Cuyo, and it was just one of a kind experience! Given the chance, I would like to return back again. Then finally after 22 hours of sailing in the cold sea, we finally got in Palawan and stayed for 3 days, went to Honda Bay Island and Underground River, both are popular and a really must see. We just ran out of time because of our missed flight, but despite of that it all ended way better than we thought and expected. lol [smooch091784]
Hi gracie! My most unforgettable would have been my one week trip to Japan. It was work related but I didn't have to work.lol..I had to give a presentation and then it was touring and fun. I loved visiting the temples in Kyoto and riding the speed train.lol. I loved the experience of another culture. Everyone was really good to me and I had a great time. [JenInTN]
I went to the states with my whole family when I was in high school. That was my first and last time there although members of my family have returned for visits after that :) I had to stay because of my studies. We've also been in different other adventures as a family and I enjoyed all of them - being with my family and discovering new things with them is fun! Thanks for the response on my discussion! I haven't had a real vacation since I was a child. I think the most memorable one was when we went to Texas and my Dad and aunt decided to surprise us with a short flight from Houston to Dallas. It was our first time on an airplane and we weren't sure we liked the surprise. [Canellita]
hi gracie, I have many :D but i' ll share one it was 2 years ago when we went to have a school reunion and the good thing is that we keep on going to places that is all the food we eat is free :D Free because our friends are the one who paid for it :D just imagine eating delicious food that is free? :D [mlegendr]

I suppose mine was a road trip with family members and some relatives. It was such a fun time and I wish it could be done all over again. The places that we went weren't really as far away but we were enjoying ourselves to the max and on top of that, lots of laughter, caring and sharing. I miss them and wish I could go on holidays with them again. [zed_k4]
Hi gracie, I have experienced many unforgettable vacation for my hubby and I are used to spend our long term holidays by the end of every year. Some are locally vacations whereas others are in foreign countries. The most unforgettable one was the first night in a hotel in Beijing few years back. We hadn't been to a temperate country before. We never realized that it was cold to death during winter night. The frozen cold was really terrible. We couldn't fall asleep the whole night no matter we had cover our whole body with the winter blanket. We could get into sleep after we were exhausted in the wee hours. We complained this to our tour leader the following morning. We were told later that the heater of our room was not in its good purpose shocked It would get repaired then and we won't feel the frozen cold the coming night. Happy posting happy [lkbooi]
